The custody battle between this former childhood sweethearts took a dramatic turn in a Los Angeles court on Thursday.
Both Robin Thicke and his ex-wife Paula Patton headed to court to try to gain temporary sole custody of their son Julian with each claiming the other was being investigated by the Department of Children and Family Services.
But the 39-year-old singer not only lost his bid to have the six-year-old reside from him, he has now been banned from being even near the boy, according to TMZ.

The website claims the judge rejected his attempt to get temporary custody of his son, giving it instead to Paula and also issued, at her request, a domestic violence restraining order.
The Blurred Lines singer is barred from seeing his son and his ex, the 41-year-old actress , along with her mother, Joyce.
However, the singer's lawyers revealed to the judge that it is not just Robin being investigated by DCFS but also Paula.
According to TMZ, Robin's lawyer submitted a declaration informing the judge that there is an open investigation into Paula for 'emotional abuse.'

The declaration claimed that a DCFS lawyer had told Robin's said the agency will close the investigation into Robin because the allegations were 'unfounded'.
DCFS launched an investigation into the singer on January 3, TMZ reports.
The department became involved after Julian allegedly told school teachers that his pop-star father spanked him a number of times and even 'punched' him, a source close to the case told the website.

It had seemed like the one-time couple were trying to come to a solution however, as they were spotted on Tuesday together at a Los Angeles' building where they were reportedly undergoing therapy.
People magazine has claimed the two are already undergoing counseling together.
People revealed: 'Both parties are working with a therapist who is advising on Julian's best interest.'
