Popular Nigerian Author Allegedly Raped All 5 Of His Daughters, Impregnated Them Multiple Times

A popular Nigerian Author, Bayo Adebowale has been accused of raping all 5 of his daughters multiple times and getting them pregnant, such that four of the daughters had at least 3 abortions each.

What’s even more shocking to Nigerians is that their mother allegedly told the victims to keep it a secret when she was informed.

Bayo Adebowale is an author, poet, novelist and founder of African Heritage. One of his daughters, who chose to be anonymous, recently opened up to Nigerian journalist, Olufemi Gorman, about the abuse. She said their father abused them for years.

Screenshots of chats between one of Bayo’s daughter and the journalist shows her narrating how the abuse happened.

She wrote: “He would remove the bulb in my room and sellotape my mouth…I was only 15. I am yet to heal completely.

“He raped all my sisters, they became pregnant, they aborted thrice each. I was the only one who never got pregnant, he called me Ogbanje.”

According to reports, one of the daughters opened up to their mother on her 21st birthday but the mother begged her to keep the abuse a secret.

The daughter also revealed in her chat that all her sisters are widows and all of them have also lost three kids each, suggesting that the rape might have been for diabolical purposes.

She also told how her father tried to discourage her from marrying her husband as he walked her down the aisle.
