Nollywood Star Stella Damascus & Music Act Lamboginny Appointed As NDLEA Ambassadors

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, said on Tuesday that it appointed Nollywood star, Stella Damasus and music act, Lawanson Yinka Lamboginny, as anti-drug abuse/trafficking ambassadors because of their proven track record.

NDLEA Head of Public Affairs, Mr. Mitchell Ofoyeju, said  the appointment is for one year and renewable.
“So far there has been no dent on their reputation. We chose them because of their track record. The idea is to reach out to young people who look up to both as role model,” Ofoyeju said.

The presentation of certificates as anti-drug abuse/trafficking ambassadors is to enhance the quality and reach of the anti-drug awareness campaign by engaging renowned celebrities, NDLEA said in a statement yesterday.
According to the anti-drug agency, the development is a remarkable step by Nigeria aimed at enlarging its partnership coast in anti-drug abuse/trafficking sensitisation efforts.
