Nollywood Actress Remanded in Prison Custody Over Stealing

For allegedly being in possession of 100 pieces of master keys, fast-rising Nollywood actress,Yetunde Akinlapa, was on Thursday sent to Kirikiri Prison in Apapa, Lagos.

Yetunde was on Wednesday detained at the Alade Divisional Police headquarters in Somolu, Lagos following a complaint lodged by a lady, accusing the actress of stealing the 100 pieces of master keys found on her.

According to a statement written by the complainant at the police headquarters, it was not the first time the suspect would be accused of stealing.

There was drama in Damofalls when three suspected thieves were nabbed and a rabbit believed to have been used in their escapades was confisticated by residents.

The men confessed to residents that the 'juju rabit' was used to make their victims fall asleep. On Wednesday they had successfully stolen household property in the area but could not make good their mission when their getaway vehicle ran out of fuel while still at the crime scene.

Pubic Hair Grooming Injuries Increased Over Past Decade, Study Finds

Mother who was in agony after childbirth discovers doctors left placenta inside her for EIGHT WEEKS

A new mother has revealed how doctors risked her life by failing to deliver her placenta after birth for a staggering eight weeks.
Elizabeth Hart, 30, says doctors at Queen's Hospital in Romford, Essex, failed to spot the potentially fatal complication when she gave birth to daughter Poppy.
The young mother spent two months in agony but claims that doctors refused to examine her when she went to A&E with a fever.

Dangote rewards Super Eagles with N130 million for reaching AFCON final

President/Chief Executive of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote has splashed the sum of N130 million on the Nigerian national team, Super Eagles for reaching the finals of the ongoing 29th Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in South Africa.
The national team, Super Eagles reached the finals of AFCON 2013 by thrashing the Malian national team 4-1.
A statement from Dangote Group explained that the gesture is part of Dangote Group’s corporate social responsibility ( CSR ) to promote and encourage sports development in Nigeria. The donation is to acknowledge the exploits of the national team at the AFCON and stimulate them to bring home the coveted trophy.

Prophet TB Joshua's wife of 23 years, Evelyn Joshua, granted a rare interview to The Spectator and talked about how she met and married TB Joshua at the age of 17 in 1990 and her role in his ministry. See excerpts below...

I visited a sister somewhere at Ikotun-Egbe and they were all talking about a particular man, a prophet. A corporate executive has found one way to get his teenage daughter to spend less time on Facebook and more time on her studies - a bribe.
Scott Baier made his daughter Rachel sign a contact promising she would quit the social networking site from February until class gets out at the end of June.
Mr Baier, the vice president for sustainability and research at Boston-based Groom Energy Solutions, posted the contract on his blog.

Japanese Finance Minister Taro Aso has some blunt advice for elderly people he sees as strains on the country's resources: to "hurry up and die." A 24-year-old Kissimmee woman and her passenger were killed Sunday when the Lamborghini she was driving crossed into oncoming traffic on a Lakeland boulevard and crashed into another vehicle, police reported.

Killed were driver Tiffany Ann Beene and Samuel Jonathan Hampton, the 24-year-old from Winter Haven who owned the Lamborghini.

Opposition Governors Agree On Political Party Merger

Ten governors from four of Nigeria’s leading political parties, "extremely concerned about the state of the nation,” met in Lagos today in an effort to consolidate merger moves of their parties towards inspiring a better-led Nigeria.
The governors came from the ACN, CPC, ANPP and APGA.
Present at the gathering, which was hosted by Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State, were the governors of Borno, Ekiti, Imo, Lagos, Nassarawa, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Yobe and Zamfara. The governor of Borno State was represented by a top State official.

A teenage learner driver who accidentally reversed into his mother and killed her as she begged him not to drink drive was jailed for a year yesterday.
Lewis Foster, 19, arrived home drunk after a row with work colleagues and got behind the wheel of his car, despite having no licence or insurance.
Deborah Jones, 47, followed him to the Citroen Saxo she had bought for him for Christmas and begged him not to drive because it would ‘ruin everything’ if he was caught.
But as he revved the engine, the car jerked backwards, crushing her against a fence post under the wheels, a court heard.
