The footballer met with his former Arsenal coach, Arsene Wenger in London during the signing of two new players, Kelechi Nwakali and Samuel Chukwueze, to the UK club. The two youngsters were part of the Nigerian team that won the Under-17 World Cup in November last year. If I am correct, they will be the first Nigerians, since Kanu, to sign with Arsenal. Reports are in that popular socialites, Joro and Dokun Olumofin, have been kicked out of Toolz and Tunde Demuren’s wedding which is currently holding in Lagos.

According to 360Nobs, the brothers were reportedly escorted out of the event centre, where the wedding ceremony is being held, by soldiers.

A young Nigerian family, 26 year old Jeremiah Owojori, his pregnant wife Ashley, their 5 year old son and seven month old son all died in a tragic fire incident at their home at 201 Coleman Str. in West Monroe, Louisiana, USA. The sad incident took place on Sunday January 24th.

It was reported that rescue officials transported Owojori and his 7-month-old son to a hospital where they were placed on life support; and Ashley, his 24-year-old pregnant wife, and Halley, her 5-year-old son, were taken to LSU Medical Centre in Shreveport, where they remained in critical condition.

The horrible incident of a 4-year-old boy who had been kidnapped and had his eyes plucked out by some ritualists in Zaria, Kaduna state. The young boy identified as Naseerdeen was kidnapped along with his sister by unknown persons while on their way to the mosque close to their home last week.

Now it is being reported that the governor of Kaduna state, Nasir El Rufai has stepped in to help the toddler who is currently receiving treatment at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABU), Zaria.

The very graphic photo was shared on Facebook by a user who goes by the handle ‘Musa Saqafa’, and the interpretation of the caption reads:

This little boy fell victim of those living in an ungodly manner(ritualist) plucked out his eyes in Zaria. Deprive them of peace and rest of mind this, may they met with problems with their powers”

THE Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi yesterday paid a historic visit to the Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona at his Palace in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.

The Ooni is the first Ife monarch to officially visit Ijebu land since 1941 when Yoruba traditional rulers held a meeting in Ijebu-Ode.The visit was aimed at promoting unity among Yoruba monarchs.

Talk show host, Funmi Iyanda took to her Instagram page recently to share these side by side photos of her bare skin to put paid to various speculations surrounding her lighter complexion. She wrote;

Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi also on Thursday 28, January announced commencement of free medical services for the people of the ancient town.

The highly respected monarch, while commissioning the Made-in-Nigeria coastal buses worth ₦56 million at his palace at Enuwa Square in Ile-Ife, urged Nigerians to patronise locally made products.

Franca Asemota, a Nigerian fugitive was in the early hours of Wednesday extradited to the United Kingdom to face trial for offences bordering on trafficking of minors.

Justice Abdul Kafarati of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja had on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 ordered her extradition to the UK following a request through the office of the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF).

Ms. Asemota, 36, is wanted by the UK government for trafficking of minors to Europe using London Heathrow airport as transit hub.

The Supreme Court has upheld the election of Nyesom Wike of the Peoples Democratic Party as governor of the oil-rich Rivers State.

The court gave the ruling validating the April 11 governorship election on Wednesday but did not provide reasons for its judgment.

It said detailed reasons for the verdict would be provided on February 12.

The Federal Government of Nigeria has cancelled the proposed Nigerian Maritime University project.

According to Nigeria’s Minister of Transportation and Aviation, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, disclosed that the government is “not going ahead with the university project proposed by NIMASA”

Yahaya became governor in a controversial supplementary election that was conducted after APC's governorship candidate, Prince Audu Abubakar, died suddenly during the governorship election in November last year. About 5 years ago precisely in January 2011 while on a business trip overseas on a particular morning at the hotel lobby, I noticed a friend request from a face I thought looked appealing to my eyes. I accepted. We chatted a few times then met for the first time after 6 months(in June 2011) and like they say the rest is history. Fast forward to January 2016, on the 9th and the 16th, we had our traditional and white wedding respectively and presently enjoying our honeymoon in Dubai which is the city where I was in January 2011 when I received that famous friend request. I thought you might use our story to encourage other girls to go ahead and send that friend request or DM. Lol.
