A Nigerian man, identified as Charles, has died after jumping from the 6th floor of his condominium in Malaysia.

According to reports, some immigration police had gone to his Kajang, Selangor residence to arrest illegal immigrants, when he jumped.

FG withdraws corruption charges against Danjuma Goje
The Nigerian government has withdrawn the corruption charges it filed against Senator Danjuma Goje, over alleged mismanagement of funds when he was the Governor of Gombe State. 

The application to withdraw the corruption charges against Goje which was granted by a Federal High Court in Jos, came weeks after he agreed to step down for Ahmed Lawan as Senate President.

Daily Trust reported that an official from the office of the Attorney General of the Federation, Pius Akutah, filed the application to withdraw the charges against Mr Goje before the court on Friday.

General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has reacted to the rape allegations levelled against the Senior Pastor of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), Igbere TV reports.

Igbere TV reports that wife of singer Timi Dakolo, Busola, had in an interview with YNaija, accused Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of raping her when she was 17. 

Although, the clergyman has since denied the allegation and also stepped aside as senior pastor of his church following public outcry.

80 Migrants Including Nigerians May Have Died In Libya Bomb Attack


There are indications that close to 80 migrants including Nigerians may have died after a detention centre was hit by an airstrike early Wednesday, July 3, 2019, an official of the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) was quoted as saying.

IOM is an intergovernmental organization that provides services and advice concerning migration to governments and migrants, including internally displaced persons, refugees, and migrant workers.

According to Radio 2000, it was gathered that “the death toll from an airstrike in Libya could be much higher than originally reported.”

Brazilian Ricardo Godinho, 41, saw the CCTV images from the dock, where he sat accused of the murder of Aliny Mendes, 39, near a school in Ewell, Surrey, on February 8.

The mother-of-four was going to collect their children from school when she was killed in the frenzied attack when the 41-year-old got out of a Ford Ranger pick-up truck before stabbing her in front of her three-year-old daughter, a court heard.

Kelly-Mary Fauvrelle's baby son Riley has died five days after being rescued from his heavily-pregnant mother's womb as police today released CCTV of the prime suspect in her murder.
The hooded figure was filmed sprinting from her home seconds after the 26-year-old was stabbed to death in Thornton Heath at 3.30am on Saturday. 
Minutes before the murder the same suspect can also be seen calmly strolling towards her property in south London as the Met urged the public to help detectives find him.
Kelly-Mary's baby boy, named Riley, was delivered by paramedics at the scene and was given a 50/50 chance of survival but perished this morning at 3.10am. The Met are still considering whether his death should also be treated as murder.
Detective Chief Inspector Mick Norman is leading the investigation and said today: 'This morning, we heard the sad news that Kelly's baby son, Riley, has died in hospital. Our thoughts remain with their family.

Sources said a quantity of Class A drugs had been found at the penthouse flat in Knightsbridge where his body was discovered but the police have yet to confirm or deny this. 
Officers were said to have found the drugs after being called in by medics, according to The Sun.  
A source told the same publication: 'There had apparently been a party where some guests were taking drugs and having sex.

Paul Mukendi, the renowned Congolese Pastor of Parole de Vie evangelical church in Quebec, Canada, has been found guilty of a 9-count charge of sexual assaults. 

His victim, a 31-year-old woman who came into his care after her mother “gave her as an offering” to him when she was still an under-aged teenager, had accused him of sexually assaulting her for 14 years (2002 to 2016). 

While Pastor Paul Mukendi claimed that the victim is “motivated by financial gain” and fabricated the entire story, she stood her ground as the trial began on June 4.

A Nigerian Senator under the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Elisha Abbo from Adamawa State is currently embroiled in a hot case of Assault. According to Premium Times, Abbo, representing Adamawa North Senatorial District, descended on the woman after she pleaded with him not to physically assault the shopowner whom the senator had accused of insulting him. He said the shop owner called him a drunk. Below is a video of the assault, which occurred on May 11 — nearly three months after Mr Abbo became a senator-elect and a month before he was sworn in on June 11.

The attack happened as an armed mobile police officer looked on, and instead made attempt to arrest the victim. The assault was reported on May 14 at the Maitama Area Command Headquarters on Nile Street, but the police told the victim to go look for Mr Abbo’s telephone number or they would not be able to do anything about it. The victim of the assault and the store owner declined comments for this story, saying they were afraid there could be a violent backlash from the senator. The victim’s lawyer also declined comment. But witnesses and other sources familiar with the matter told premium times their accounts of what happened. They all declined to be identified, citing fears for their safety. Mr Abbo, a member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), had entered the shop at about 6:00 p.m. on May 11, a Saturday. The senator walked in with three young women to purchase adult toys.

Atiku Speaks On EFCC Prosecuting Saraki For Corruption


Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, 2019 presidential candidate, on Tuesday declared that there is nothing wrong with the EFCC prosecuting the immediate past Senate President, Bukola Saraki for alleged corruption but warned that this must not be done as persecution.

Atiku pointed out that Saraki, who led his 2019 presidential campaign, is one of the most investigated politicians in Nigeria, who has been investigated and prosecuted all the way to the Supreme Court without being found guilty.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, recently disclosed it was investigating Saraki’s stewardship during his period as the governor of Kwara State and the Senate President.

Before now, you could click on a WhatsApp profile picture and choose to copy, save or export the file without the owner of the profile's consent. But things have changed for the better with an update that shows that the WhatsApp company privacy policy is more strict and has also removed the feature that allows you to save someone else’s profile pictures.

Bayelsa: Thugs Storm Police Station, Kill DPO, Officers, Loot Rifles


Some gunmen at the wee hours of Monday stormed Agudama- Ekpetiama community police station in Yenagoa Local Government area, firing and killing four police personnel.

Though the identity of the seven-month-old pregnant policewoman and the two sergeants who were on duty are yet to be identified, the name of the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) who was said to have been killed in his sleep, was given as S.P Ola Rosanna.

DAILY POST learnt that a few weeks ago, four suspected kidnappers were arrested, detained and tortured severely in the station before they were transferred to the command headquarters prior to their release from custody. This may not be unconnected with the incident.

Pastor Omodele Fatoyinbo, the wife of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) founder, has reacted to the allegations of rape against her husband.
Omodele who spoke during the Sunday morning service at the Abuja headquarters of the church, dismissed the accusations against her husband by Busola, wife of Timi Dakolo; popular Nigerian singer, saying that her husband is not a rapist.
“My husband is not a rapist. Even if he was not a believer, he would not be a rapist,” she said.

The Coalition of Public Interest Lawyers and Advocates (COPA) has said no fewer than 24 public interests lawyers and advocates have volunteered to take up the case of Busola Dakolo against Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo at no cost.

Pelumi Olajengbesi, leader of COPA, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday, describing the rape allegation as ''grievous and must therefore not be swept under the carpet.''

Olajengbesi said that the decision of the lawyers to take up the matter was due to the fact that similar allegations had been levelled against the pastor in the past.
