A Nigerian pastor of the Divine Power Pentecostal Chapel appears to be cashing in on the widespread fear generated by the Ebola scourge.

Rev. Emmanuel Sampson, whose church is located in the Isolo area of Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial capital and the only part of the country with a confirmed case of Ebola, is asking people to come for his crusade with ‘cocked bottles’ (sic). Given the antics of faith healers, what the bottles are for is left to anyone’s imagination.

Britain’s Oxford University Press has approved some words for the Oxford Dictionaries after deeming them worthy of a dictionary entry.

A few of the words include side boob, hot mess, YOLO, throw shade, live-tweet, adorbs, amazeballs, bro hug, cray, hate watch, ICYMI, tech-savvy, time-poor and SMH.

Editor at Oxford Dictionaries Katherine Martin, said “These are words that are common enough that you are likely to encounter them, and may have to look up their meanings.”

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration said on Thursday it has become aware of products being sold online that fraudulently claim to prevent or treat Ebola.

The FDA's warning comes on the heels of comments by Nigeria's top health official, Onyebuchi Chukwu, who reportedly said earlier Thursday that eight Ebola patients in Lagos, the country's capital, will receive an experimental treatment called nano-silver.

He said: 'I kept being told she was in the operating theatre, but it looked at if it was closed and no one was there.'

A woman in Austria admitted to filming a pornographic video inside a church after a tipster recognized her breasts.

A mother has knocked down and killed her own daughter while trying to park her car.

Bolutito Shodipe was run over outside Hounslow West tube station in south-west London yesterday morning.

The six-year-old's devastated family are 'coming to terms with this terrible accident' as British Transport Police investigates what happened.

Bolutito's mother was attempting to park her car outside the station at around 9.40am when she struck her child.

Police and London Ambulance Service paramedics tried to resuscitate Bolutito at the scene but she was later pronounced dead at St Mary's Hospital in Paddington.

A family statement released by police said: 'Bolutito was our eldest daughter and no-one could have asked for a better daughter.

A seven-year-old girl has been infected with staph after she was sexually assaulted by the pastor of an orthodox church, Sunday Akintayo.

The police arrested the 51-year-old cleric for inserting his finger into the private parts of the victim and shaving her eyebrows.

Our correspondent learnt that the assault had been going on for a long time, but by the time it was detected, the victim had contracted staph, a bacterial infection.

The mother of the victim was said to have noticed sperm discharge from the vagina of the girl while bathing her.

Members of the Northern delegates at the ongoing National Conference have warned President goodluck Ebele Jonathan, not to present himself for a re-election come 2015 otherwise he will be plunging the country into a state of violence and anarchy.

The northern delegates made this known yesterday at a press conference held at the Gombe Jewel Hotel, Wuse 11, Abuja, where they reacted to a draft constitution which was presented to all members of the CONFAB at its resumed sitting on Monday August 11th.

According to the Chairman of the Arewa Consultative Forum, ACF and former Inspector General of Police, IGP, Ibrahim Coomasie who spoke on behalf of other delegates, the proposed draft constitution was designed to introduce a third term in office for President Jonathan and other elected public holders who are not eligible for such considerations.

They said they were surprised when they were handed the drafted constitution on Monday which according to them was drafted by the CONFAB Chairman, Justice Idris Kutigi in favor of President Jonathan's third term agenda. They warned that should the drafted constitution which is expected to go to the Senate for ratifiction be allowed to scale through, it would throw the whole country into a state of violence and anarchy.

Today I was in the hospital, trying to get a result of a blood test of one of the children, when I got a phone call from Simon. He was at the Police station, they asked our help for a 12 year old girl who was pregnant. He came to the hospital, together with the girl.
A small girl, who could be easily go for 10 years instead of 12. The police asked us if we could take her for a scan and keep her in Amecet at least until tomorrow. I called a Doctor in a clinic where they do those scans and we could come straight away. My heart went out to the little girl with a big tummy, it was really a small girl.

A toddler who was born after a 15-year-old boy got his 13-year-old sister pregnant is to be adopted, a High Court judge has ruled.

The two-year-old boy, who was born to the siblings in Northern Ireland in 2012, will be put up for adoption after Mr Justice O'Hara agreed to a freeing order.

Sitting in the High Court in Belfast, the judge ruled that the mother - who is now 16 - was incapable of giving consent for adoption herself.

For the last two weeks I have been in the field in Osun state campaigning for my friend, brother and kinsman and my party’s candidate in the governorship election, Senator Iyiola Omisore. It has been a gruelling yet wonderful experience and I am very proud to have been part of the team and so deeply involved.

It is now 7.00a.m. in the morning and the final results of those elections have just been formally announced by INEC. They are as follows. Governor Rauf Aregbesola of the APC polled 394,684 votes whilst Senator Iyiola Omisore of the PDP polled 292,747 votes. It is clear from the foregoing that Aregbesola has not only won but he has also won convincingly.
