Robbers Who Allegedly Killed UNILAG Graduate In Lagos, Nabbed By Police.


The Police in Lagos have arrested two suspects in connection with the dispossession of valuables and gruesome murder of Unilag graduate, Dr. Stephen Urueye.


This was disclosed by DSP Bala Elkana, Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer.

According to DSP Elkana, on 4th April, 2019, at about 9.45pm, the Itire Police Station received a distress call that some hoodlums armed with knives attacked one Dr Stephen Urueye, a Resident Doctor with LUTH and dispossessed him of his valuables such as mobile phones. They were said to have equally stabbed him at his right thigh and back with knife.

The United Arab Emirate (UAE) embassy in Nigeria has denied suspending three-month tourist visas to Nigerians wishing to visit the country.
In a tweet Thursday night, the embassy described the reports of the suspension of three months tourist visas to Nigerians as inaccurate. The embassy stressed the importance of journalists sourcing news from its officials instead of unofficial sources.

Another Nigerian Man Caught With 1,183 Grams Of Cocaine In Saudi Arabia Few Days After His Compatriot Was Executed


Barely a few days after the execution of Kudirat Afolabi in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for drug-related offences, Saheed Ayinde Sobade, another Nigerian national, was allegedly nabbed on Thursday with 1,183 grams of cocaine in Jeddah.

Abike Dabiri-Erewa, senior special assistant to the president on foreign affairs and diaspora, made this known while speaking at a programme on Arise Television on Friday.

“I have bad news for you. Just yesterday, in the midst of the cacophony of 20 to be killed, eight have been killed, another Nigerian was caught with cocaine in Jeddah,” said Dabiri-Erewa.

We Followed Legal Procedure Before Executing Kudirat Adesola Afolabi — Saudi Arabia


The Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia yesterday said it followed all legal and judicial procedures before implementing the death sentence on a Nigerian woman, Kudirat Adesola Afolabi.

Saudi Arabia also clarified that Kudirat Adesola Afolabi, the executed lady was accorded every legal right before the death sentence was carried out on her.

It said all accused persons subjected to the legal process in Saudi courts of law are allowed access to lawyers to litigate for them.

The embassy made the clarifications in a statement in Abuja against the backdrop of protest by the Federal Government on the execution of the woman.

The statement said: “With reference to the statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Foreign Affairs and the Diaspora, Mrs. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, as published on the cover page of “The Nation” newspaper of 3/4/2019, titled “Fed Govt kicks as Saudi Arabia executes Nigerian,” the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia, Abuja, clarifies as follows:

“The embassy affirms that all legal and judicial procedures were followed regarding the accused person and she was accorded every legal right before the death sentence was carried out on her.

Offshore Workers Discover The “Juju” a Nigerian Lady Made To Control Her Husband & Mother-in-Law (Photos + Video)


A Nigerian man, who is a Sailor has revealed how he and his crew members saved a Nigerian husband from the ‘hands of his wicked wife’.

The sailor identified as Romeo Nwabueze and his crew found a charm/juju which was allegedly done by a lady on her man and his mother and thrown into the sea.

The lady, identified as Temitope, put a picture of herself and her man, Ramon Abiodun, inside a small wooden casket and did a similar thing for his mother named Baisat. This was purportedly done for them to love her endlessly.

She then added a written incantation to the two caskets before throwing it into the ocean. The incantation reads thus:
“May Abiodun never question whatever Temitope says. May he always give Temitope all the money he makes in his entire life.

Irawo was said to have accused Femi, of informing her husband that he saw her with another man in a hotel and allegedly threatened to deal with him for trying to ruin her home.

The deceased’s father, Adeyemi Afolabi, a 72-year-old retired soldier, said he heard Femi shouting from his room that Irawo was trying to strangulate him, but added that nobody cared to inquire what was going on because of the level of their friendship.

Illegal Oil Bunkering: Navy Hands Over Two Suspects, Vessel To EFCC



The Nigerian Navy on Monday, April 1, 2019 handed over two persons and a vessel, allegedly involved in illegal oil bunkering to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Port Harcourt Zonal Office, for further investigation and possible prosecution.

The suspects, Aladetan Femi and Kingsley Amuzie were on board MT Arowolo when they were arrested on April 11, 2018 by men of the Nigerian Navy around Onne Anchorage, Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.

Navy Commander M.A Rogo who handed over the suspects to the Commission disclosed that they were arrested on the suspicion that the vessel deliberately switched off her Automatic Identification System, AIS, at several times at the anchorage without any justifiable reason.

Davido has reacted as a high court which sat in Abuja, nullified his uncle, Ademola Adeleke's nomination as PDP's Governorship candidate in the last Osun election. 
Recall we reported that Justice Musa of the Abuja High Court who delivered judgement on the case on Tuesday, nullified Adeleke’s nomination on the grounds that he offended section 177 of the 1999 constitution as amended. The section stipulated that candidates for the position of governor must be educated up to the secondary school level. While the court’s findings showed that Adeleke entered secondary school in 1976, there was no record to show that he actually graduated as his name was no longer seen in the school’s register from 1980.

Five Nigerians who stormed a Bureau De Change in Sharjah and carted away Dh2.3 million, have been arrested.
Two employees at the BDC were injured during the operation by the suspects who entered the country on visit visas, on March 18, 2019.
On March 20, four of the suspects stormed into the exchange office, while one waited in a car outside.
Major-General Saif Al Zeri Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of the Sharjah Police, said the whole amount was recovered after the number plate of the car in which the suspects fled, was obtained.

Court Renews Arrest Warrant For Actress Monalisa Chinda


A Lagos High Lagos in Igbosere on Monday renewed a bench warrant for the arrest of actress and producer, Monalisa Chinda Coker, over a tax evasion charge.

Justice Adedayo Akintoye renewed the order for Coker’s arrest following her failure to appear in court for trial, allegedly since 2017.

She adjourned further proceedings till June 5.

When the case was called Monday, neither Coker nor her lawyer was present.

Five Nigerians Held For Robbery In UAE


Five Nigerians, who allegedly stormed a money exchange in Sharjah and fled with Dh2.3 million, have been arrested, the police said on Sunday. According to the police, the men barged into the exchange and smashed the glass barrier between the customers and the staff, stole the money in multiple currencies and fled.

Two employees at the exchange were injured as they resisted the robbers. One of them managed to notify the police. 

The Sharjah Police coordinated with forces from Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah and Ajman to nab the suspects from four emirates within 48 hours after the robbery was committed.

A Georgia man has been arrested after he fatally shot a 19-year-old man who accidentally knocked on the wrong apartment door.  

The shooting victim, Omarian Banks, was dropped off at the Retreat apartment complex in Atlanta around 12:30 a.m. on Friday. According to police, Banks and his girlfriend recently moved into the building and Banks, still unfamiliar with the area, knocked on what he thought was his apartment door.  

Banks had reportedly made an error, approaching the door of 32-year-old Darryl Bynes instead. According to the police account, the pair had a short conversation before Bynes went inside, grabbed his gun and shot Banks as he tried to get away, WSB-TV reported.

The Lagos State police command has arrested a 37-year-old woman, Josephine, for bathing her neighbour, Blessing Christopher, 33, with hot water for greeting her husband against her wish. The jealous lady claimed that she was not ready to share her husband with Blessing, a staff of the Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), and she meant it by pouring hot water on her, on Tuesday night, at Agbotikuyo, Agege.

The victim, however, revealed that as she was preparing dinner for her family in the kitchen, when her neighbour’s husband greeted her and immediately she replied, Josephine jumped out.
