Shock at Wimbledon as Nadal is Crushed by 'Dreddy': Two Time Champion is Dumped Out by World 102 Dustin Brown

Rafael Nadal crashes out of Wimbledon after losing to Dustin Brown
Rafael Nadal (left) became the highest-profile casualty of this year's Wimbledon tonight after slumping to a 7-5 3-6 6-4 6-4 defeat to dreadlocked German Dustin Brown (centre and right). Tenth seed Nadal (watched on by girlfriend Xisca Perello, inset), the 2008 and 2010 champion in SW19, lost his only previous encounter with Brown on grass in Halle last year - and he fell to the flamboyant world number 102 once again.

Brown's unconventional style included shots that will not be found in any tennis coaching manual, but it made for a thrilling spectacle against the out-of-form Spaniard, who had been a possible quarter-final opponent for Andy Murray. Centre Court spectators were torn between cheering the ever-popular Nadal, an enduring favourite, or the showman Brown who revealed a large tattoo of reggae singer Dennis Brown on his torso when changing his top. Speaking after the finest victory of his career, the 30-year-old said: 'My plan was to come here and play good tennis. I didn't think about anything past that.'

Cuba Is The First Country In The World To Effectively Eliminate Mother-To-Baby Transmission Of HIV and Syphilis - WHO

The World Health Organisation has confirmed that Cuba has become the first country in the world to effectively eliminate mother-to-baby transmission of HIV and syphilis.

"[This is] one of the greatest public health achievements possible," WHO director general, Margaret Chan, told the press. And the best part is that it was brought about by relatively simple strategies: namely, better testing and treatment of expectant parents, and providing HIV- and syphilis-positive mothers with options to protect their babies, such as bottle-feeding and C-sections.

What Cuba has done differently is integrate these treatments into accessible and affordable universal healthcare, so that they've become a normal part of treatment for all pregnant women.

Millions Melt on 'Pizza Oven' Trains and Buses as Britain Wilts in Sweltering Heat

UK weather sees hottest July 1 as heat nudging 97F already claims one life
Temperatures could hit 36C (97F) in Britain today making it the hottest July 1 on record, but health officials fear the conditions could be 'dangerous' to young children, pregnant women and the elderly. The Met Office confirmed temperatures had already hit 33.5C (87F) in Northolt, west London, by 11.30am - putting Britain on course to smash records for the hottest day of the decade.

However, people up and down the country are struggling in the unbearable heat and officials are urging people to stay out of the sun as temperatures continue to rise. Commuters are facing suffocating conditions on London's transport system (pictured trying to cool down, centre) with thermometers recording temperatures of 38C on buses in the capital and 34C (93F) on the Central Tube line last night - above the 30C (86F) legal limit for transporting cattle. One commuter, Cipriali Zsraga, 23, a cocktail bartender from Italy, described London buses as 'hotter than a pizza oven' and said passengers were 'melting'. A level 2 health alert is in place for much of the country as forecasters warn the warm air from the Continent (inset right) could put lives at risk.

Weirdest Medical Conditions You Will Ever See - Bizarre Images of Cutaneous Horns

If you thought that people could only have horns growing out of their body in science fiction movies, think again. Many people do not know that some people can literally grown horn-like projections out of their body. The reason many people are unaware of this is because the stigma associated with the condition leads people to try to conceal it from others with clothing, bandages, or becoming a recluse until they can be surgically removed.

When horn-like structures grow out of people’s skin, they are referred to as cutaneous (skin) horns and sometimes referred to as Devil’s horns. Below is a picture of a 69-year old lady with a 17-cm cutaneous horn protruding from her forehead. This is why she is known as The Unicorn Lady.

Are You “Spiritual But Not Religious?”

When I talk to some people about spirituality, they commonly respond with, “Oh, but I’m not religious,” to which I respond, “Yeah, me neither.” Then they look a bit puzzled. The way I see it, every religion is some human being’s interpretation of spiritual principles, and while there’s a lot of overlap in the teachings of all religions that probably points to some spiritual truth, I find myself resisting any dogma that says that one way is “The Way” and everything else is hogwash.
Ages ago, I wrote about my “Grab Bag Religion”. Some critique such an approach to spirituality, arguing that those who consider themselves “spiritual but not religious” lack the discipline that comes from focus on one religious pathway. Others say that the California-style “It’s all good” approach to spirituality fails to offer clear morals and strict values. This may be a valid criticism. Certainly spiritual practice can deepen one’s spiritual journey, and living a life of integrity tends to accompany spiritual commitment.

Saraki's Victory Is Northern Conspiracy Agains Yoruba - Bisi Akande Former APC Chairman Blasts

Bisi Akande
Bisi Akande, pioneer chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), says the rebellion in the senate is being viewed in the south-west as a northern conspiracy against the Yoruba. He also alleged that individuals who feel threatened by the resolve of President Muhammadu Buhari to fight corruption influenced the emergence of Bukola Saraki as senate president.

“While other position seekers are waiting in the wings until Buhari’s ministers are announced, a large section of the Southwest see the rebellion as a conspiracy of the North against the Yoruba,” the former governor of Osun state wrote in a scorching letter, which was made public late Sunday, Describing the ongoing crisis within the party as a conspiracy, Akande expressed doubt that the leadership of APC was capable of handling the situation and he urged Buhari and governors elected under the platform of the party to intervene in order to prevent APC from total collapse. Akande went down memory lane on how the APC was established and the challenges that threatened its existence in its formative stage.

Pedophiles Want Same Rights As Homosexuals

th

Milton Diamond, a University of Hawaii professor and director of the Pacific Center for Sex and Society, stated that child pornography could be beneficial to society because, “Potential sex offenders use child pornography as a substitute for sex against children.”

This should come as no surprise that pedophiles are using the same tactics used by ‘gay’ rights activists to seek similar status arguing their desire for children is a sexual orientation no different than heterosexual or homosexuals.
An academic conference held at the University of Cambridge said that pedophilia interest is “natural and normal for males”, and that “at least a sizable minority of normal males would like to have sex with children, and normal males are aroused by children.”
