How South East Lost out in Producing Nigeria's Next Senate President - As There is No Single Senator in APC From The East

According to political analysts, the South East has lost the opportunity of producing the next Senate President or the Speaker of the House of Representative in the Gen Buhari-led administration come May 29th. According to political calculations, anyone who is to occupy these positions must come from the ruling party. Since the number one and two positions have already been taken by Gen Buhari a Hausa man and Prof Osinbajo, a Yoruba man, the Ibos were favored to produce the third key official, the Senate President.

Goodbye Okonjo-Iweala - By Dele Sobowale

“Nobody steps into the same river twice.” Chinese Proverb.
On Thursday, November 27, 2014, the PUNCH, on page 14 reported as follows: “Don’t blame me for naira devaluation – Okonjo-Iweala.” In the report, the Minister of Finance, was quoted as saying that “Nigeria has what it takes to manage its way through. Benchmark for the budget 2015 had been lowered to more realistic $73 per barrel. Never in the history of budgeting in Nigeria had a Finance Minister been so often wrong as Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala had been this year. But before presenting the irrefutable evidence, a quick remark is needed about her self-acquittal from blame for the devaluation. Certainly, the Finance Minister cannot be blamed for devaluation.
However, Dr Ngozi, like a serial offender, had simply addressed the one matter on which she will be exonerated. She had left the other charges of incompetence, self-serving public utterances and subordination of the national economic interest to the political ambition of her boss. In that regard she had done severe damage to the economy and to President Jonathan himself. Her departure, either through resignation or dismissal is a matter of time. And the reasons are not hard to find.

Science Behind Babies: The More Sex You Have The More Likely You'll Have A Boy and More Girls Are Born in Times of Stress

It's the most in-depth study ever made into what really goes on in bedrooms.

Everyone knows that once a woman hits 35 her fertility plummets and it’s much harder to get pregnant. Right?
Well, staggering as it sounds, this assumption is based on figures — still used in official 2013 UK fertility guidelines — that are 300 years old.
Yes, the statistics that inform modern fertility advice were gleaned from the birth patterns of pre-Revolution French peasant women.
How did this happen? French historian Louis Henry, who died in 1991, collected information from French parishes between the 18th and 19th centuries — crucially, pre-contraception — and this was used to calculate ‘natural’ fertility rates.
