A Police detective,  ASP Uthman Lamidi, on Friday told an  Ikeja High Court presided over by Justice Raliatu Adebiyi how a Naval officer, Wale Allen, was stabbed to death with broken bottle by his elder brother over their late father’s estate.
Wale was allegedly murdered by Abiodun Allen, 31, following an argument over their father’s property.

According to the detective, Wale, who was serving in Port  Harcourt, had visited the family home to settle a dispute over their late father’s property which was allegedly taken over by Abiodun.
Led in evidence by the Prosecutor, Mrs R. O. Ahmed-Muili, Lamidi told the court that Abiodun, was 27  years old when he committed the offence at 11.00 p.m. on Feb. 20, 2013 at their family’s house located at 5, Oritse St., at Imude community in Oto-Awori Local Council Development Area.

Stanbic Bank Worker Who Absconded With Over N67M In Ghana Finally Arrested.

The 33-year old woman who was outsourced to work at the Tema Community One branch of Stanbic Bank took monies from customers with the promise of investing it in high-yielding fixed deposits.

She was declared wanted by the Ghana Police Service after she absconded.

Her pictures were posted on the Facebook timeline of Stanbic Bank. A message attached to the picture indicates that she was a Personal Solutions Consultant at the Tema Community 1 branch in Accra.

Amakye allegedly collected various sums of monies from clients of the bank between 2015 and 2016 with the notion of investing them in fixed deposits.

She is reported to have promised the customers interest rate of between 18 and 20 percent per month without the consent of the management of the bank. This got her many clients especially because of the high-interest rate.

Woman Tried To Smuggle Heroin Into US Strapped To Her Butt

An Arizona woman tried to smuggle three pounds of heroin in her pants, officials said. The 47-year-old Nogales, Arizona, resident tried to return to the U.S. from Mexico at a pedestrian border crossing Tuesday with the drugs, U.S. Customs and Border Protection said. She attempted to hide the heroin, worth more than $45,000, in the back of her pants, officials said.

On a typical day, Customs and Border Protection seize 7,910 pounds of drugs, according to the agency. According to the press release on the CBP website, during her attempt to enter the US, Nogales was referred for further inspection where she was found to be carrying three pounds of heroin, all strapped to her behind.
