Tinubu Speaks On 2023 Presidential Ambition, Tells APC Members What To Do

The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has revealed his position on the recent dissolution of the National Working Committee and rumours of his 2023 Presidential ambition.

This was contained in a statement sent to POLITICS NIGERIA signed by his spokesman, Tunde Rahman. Read below;

"To those who have been actively bleating how the President’s actions and the NEC meeting have ended my purported 2023 ambitions, I seek your pity. I am but a mere mortal who does not enjoy the length of foresight or political wisdom you profess to have. Already, you have assigned colourful epitaphs to the 2023 death of an alleged political ambition that is not yet even born."

Travel companies report their biggest Saturday sales EVER as bargain hunters rush to book
Families can again book summer getaways after ministers agreed last night to open-air corridors with dozens of countries. The partial dismantling of Priti Patel's quarantine scheme means UK holidaymakers will be able to return home without having to self-isolate for 14 days. The changes will also let foreign tourists visit the UK, giving a huge boost to the beleaguered hospitality sector. Under the traffic light system, countries will be rated green, amber or red based (right) on infection levels, the reliability of official data and confidence in test and trace systems.

I Warned Bola Tinubu That This Day Would Come - Farooq Kperogi

The political coalition between Muhammadu Buhari’s CPC and Bola Tinubu’s ACN has all but collapsed. There was nothing even remotely surprising about it. In previous columns, media interviews, and social media updates, I predicted that this would happen.

For example, in my June 23, 2018 column titled “Buhari’sJune 12 Pandering and Naivety of Yoruba Elite,” I wrote:

“Buhari may well get a second term with the help of votes from the Southwest. But one thing is as certain as tomorrow’s date: he will spectacularly fall out with the Yoruba elite whose support he’s bending over backwards to court now. He’d no longer have a need for them after 2019 and might even remember that they betrayed him in 2011.

“These same people would then turn against not just Buhari but the entire North. If we’re alive till then, we’d remind them that they are complicit in their own fate. An Italian proverb says, “When a man deceives me once, it is his fault; when twice, it is mine.”

Trump says Democrat cities like Baltimore and Oakland are so lawless it's like 'living in hell' and claims Chicago is 'worse than Afghanistan' during town hall - then warns Biden 'will destroy our country'

President Donald Trump blasted Seattle officials in an interview with Fox on Thursday say that he will intervene in the city's autonomous protest zone if they don't as he called for stop and frisk to be used in cities such as Chicago and Detroit
President Donald Trump compared some U.S. cities to Afghanistan as he blasted protesters attempting to pull down statues as 'troublemakers' and 'anarchists'. Speaking in a Fox News interview with Sean Hannity on Thursday night, the president claimed that living in cities like Chicago, Detroit, Oakland and Baltimore was 'like living in hell' as he called for stop and frisk tactics to be used to cut down crime. 'It’s not a racist statement,' Trump said. 'Black people come up to me and say "thank you".

They want help.' Trump placed the blame with 'Democrat-run' cities where protests against racial injustice are ongoing, saying they 'don't love our country' and are 'taking over'. 'Democrats think it’s wonderful, they’re destroying our the country,' he said of the unrest. Trump took part in the town hall with Fox News in Green Bay, Wisconsin, where he was visiting Fincantieri Marinette Marine, a Marinette shipyard, to announce a new contract with the military that he says could create up to 6,000 jobs in the area.

APC Crisis: Governor Fayemi slams Presidential aide over ?fabricated report? on visit to Buhari

Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State has lashed out at President Buhari's special adviser on political matters, Babafemi Ojudu over report of his alleged visit to the presidential villa in Abuja to secure President Muhammadu Buhari's support for Victor Giadom as the Acting Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Fayemi who accused Ojudu of blackmail and being behind the "fabricated" report, stated that he had no plan nor reason to see President Buhari on Tuesday afternoon.

In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary Yinka Oyebode, Governor Fayemi said he met with Buhari earlier in the company of three of his colleagues – Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi), Governor Simon Lalong (Plateau) and Governor Badaru Abubakar (Jigawa). Also present at that meeting was the Chief of Staff to the President, Prof Ibrahim Gambari and Honourable Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami.

Buhari accused of supporting "illegality" as APC National working committee boycott NEC meeting 4
The crisis rocking the All Progressives Congress (APC) has taken another turn as President Buhari has been accused of supporting "illegality" by members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) national working committee (NWC).

Reports indicate that factional Acting Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Victor Giadom got President Buhari's backing to preside over the party’s virtual National Executive Council (NEC) meeting today June 25. President Buhari who spoke through his spokesperson Garba Shehu on Wednesday, June 24, said he will attend the NEC meeting because “the law is on the side of Victor Giadom as Acting National Chairman."

Reacting to this, Hillard Eta, vice-chairman of the APC (south-south) and Waziri Bulama, the acting national secretary said an emergency NWC meeting was held after Buhari declared support for Giadom.

Waziri Bulama Declares Giadom NEC Meeting Illegal

The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Waziri Bulama, has said that a meeting of the National Executive Committee called by Victor Giadom, Deputy National Secretary, was illegal.

This is coming hours after President Muhammadu Buhari backed Giadom as the authentic Acting National Chairman of the APC and promised to attend the meeting scheduled for Aso Rock.

Bulama in a statement on Wednesday urged members of the party to disregard the notice of the NEC meeting because Gaidom was not part of the National Working Committee or an APC member.

The party has been engulfed in a crisis following an order by the Appeal Court affirming the suspension of Adams Oshiomhole as APC National Chairman

Fayemi Cautions The Nation Newspaper And Ojudu Over "Misleading Publication"

Fayemi Faults Ojudu's Newspaper Story, Fights Back | NewsmakersNG
PRESS RELEASE

OF  EX-SENATOR OJUDU AND NATION NEWSPAPER’S MISLEADING STORY

The attention of the general public is being drawn to a misleading publication by the Nation Newspapers online with headline “Fayemi’s failed mission to Villa with Giadom”, published in the online edition of the Nation Newspaper on Wednesday, June 24th, 2020.

The falsehood, we gathered reliably, was fabricated by a senior aide of the Presidency and a former Senator, Babafemi Ojudu, and planted in The Nation Newspaper, after it was rejected by some State House Correspondents, who rebuffed the former Senator for the misleading and malicious story.

It is on record that Senator Ojudu, in his desperate bid to rubbish Governor Fayemi, had told his close associates that he would battle Governor Fayemi, who is also the Chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF) with falsehood and cheap blackmail in his nefarious attempt to destabilize APC in Ekiti State.

Ajimobi-Led NWC to boycott Thursday's APC NEC Meeting

The Senator Abiola Ajimobi-led National Working Committee (NWC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has said that President Muhammadu Buhari was blackmailed or ill-advised into accepting to attend the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting slated for tomorrow.

The party’s National Vice Chairman, South-South, Hilliard Eta, said this in a statement on Wednesday signed the acting National Secretary, Arc. Waziri Bulama, after a meeting at the party’s national secretariat.

He added that the NWC will not be attending Thursday’s NEC meeting, describing it as illegal. The NWC members stated this on Wednesday night after a meeting at the national secretariat of the party.

Tinubu's Presidential Ambition Crumbles? Unable To Visit Aso Villa As President Buhari Recognises Victor Giadom As Party's Acting National Chairman

An open letter to Jagaban | TheCable
Former Lagos State governor, Bola Ahmed Tinubu's ambition to become Nigeria's President has practically crashed to the ground after President Muhammadu Buhari rejected former Edo State governor, Adams Oshiomhole, to support Victor Giadom as Acting National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, SaharaReporters can confidently report.

Tinubu, a two-term governor of Lagos State, had been courting President Buhari and the cabal -- a group of power brokers at the Aso Rock Villa led by late Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari -- with the hope of clinging the APC Presidential ticket come 2023.

Tinubu had strategically imposed his loyalist, Oshiomhole, a former labour movement leader in Nigeria, as APC Chairman hoping that he will pave the way for him to obtain the APC ticket for the 2023 presidential election.

Eze Chukwuemeka To Tinubu: “Any Further Attacks On Amaechi Will Be Resisted”

Former National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New People’s Democratic Party (nPDP) and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze has called on the National leader of the APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu to leave Transport minister, Rotimi Amaechi alone.

Eze, in a statement sent to POLITICS NIGERIA on Wednesday night, asked Tinubu to also reign in the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Drainage and Water Resources, Joe Igbokwe over his recent comments on Amaechi.

“Inconsequential, as it may seem, those recent paradoxical and absurd statements credited to the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Drainage and Water Resources, Joe Igbokwe, against the personality of the Transportation Minister, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi, calls for serious concern.”

“Igbokwe had ranted that the Hon. Minister of Transportation and South-South Leader of the APC, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi may be dropped by President Muhammadu Buhari, if he fails to stop the Rivers State chapter of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) “from embarrassing APC Nigeria”.

An Open Letter To Tinubu By Femi Fani-Kayode (FFK)

An Open Letter To Jagaban
"Even the obstacles on my way, I predict them before those that will bring them will start to think about them. I plan for betrayal, I plan for backstabbing, I also plan for reunion & forgiveness long before they happen.I expect nothing, I expect anything, I expect everything"- Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

My dearest Jagaban,

You know very well that I have always liked and respected you. You will also recall that a few years ago I warned you that everything that is being done to you today would eventually be done to you given the choices you made at the time.

I bear you no malice or ill-will but in view of what is happening in your political party and given the fact that your good friend, co-conspirator and collaborator, President Muhammadu Buhari, has finally thrown you under the bus and dumped you, I am constrained to write the following.
