Update: Woman Who Locked 11-Year-Old Maid inside Lagos Apartment Has Been Arrested

We reported here some days ago that an 11 year-old maid whose guardian reportedly locked inside an apartment in Lagos, for days, while she traveled to the village had been rescued by the police.

The Lagos State Police Command has now arrested the guardian who happens to be a banker. Recall that the rescue of the 11 year-old maid followed complaint of ill treatment by neighbours.

The police in Bayelsa State have apprehended a 47-year-old man, Moses Otimba, for killing a five-day-old baby boy he fathered with the younger sister of his pregnant wife.

The suspect, was said to have impregnated the girl, Joy, and allegedly killed the child and buried it in a shallow grave near a river.

Otimba, an indigene of Ogbogoro community in Yenagoa Local Government Area of the state, was said to have carried out the act in connivance with Joy in order to hide the paternity of the baby.

The piece by the Sun revealed that Ashimolowo splashed a whooping £120k (N59m app.) on a birthday party for himself with the church funds.

A 26-year-old Nigerian woman was killed by a blow to the neck with a sharp object in the asylum-seeker reception centre at Mineo near Catania, Italy on Tuesday, January 2.

Police think she was murdered after a row with her partner, a fellow asylum seeker identified as Francis Miracle.

The unnamed woman had been at the centre since December 2016.

Police later arrested the suspect, who is said to be a 30-year-old man from Mali, living in northern Italy.

Police operatives in Kafanchan area of Kaduna State have arrested a young man who specialises in luring little kids in neighborhoods with sweets and biscuits. Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, yesterday inaugurated a 12-man board to steer the state Consumer Protection Agency (LSCOPA), which he said had become imperative to complement its reforms on the ease of doing business in the state.

BUA International Limited has condemned the arrest of its staff by the Edo State Government and security agencies at the disputed Obu mine site yesterday.

Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki and security agencies comprising men of the Nigerian Army, the Police, Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Department of State Services (DSS) were said to have stormed the mine site and arrested two employees of BUA International Limited over violation of a Stop Work order issued by the Federal Ministry of Mines and Steel.

The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has announced N200 million reward for anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the gunmen who killed several residents of the state who were returning from church on New Year Day. The police in the state said it was difficult to ascertain how many people died so far from the incident which happened in Omoku, a community in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni (ONELGA) Local Government Area of the state.

But the Director-General, Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA, Dakuku Peterside, who is an indigene of the state, said that 21 people were killed in the incident. Mr. Peterside, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, blamed the killing on a supremacy battle among rival cult groups and also accused Governor Wike of lacking the capacity to tackle the state’s security challenges.

Police Arrest Badoo ‘s High Priest Fatai Adebayo, Ruin Shrine

34-year old Fatai Adebayo was fetched from his shrine at 38, Ayegbami Quarters, Odogbolu Local Government area of Ogun state.
His capture was sequel to the confession of some arrested Badoo members who revealed to the Lagos Police Command that the shrine was their spiritual base for oaths taking and diabolic backing before the commencement of each of their gruesome operations.

Adebayo operated in a wooden kiosk situated in his family compound where he lives with his wife and mother.
