Pitbull With His Life Saved Two Women From A Poisonous Cobra.

American Pit Bull Terrier "Chive" saved Victoria, 87 years old, and her granddaughter Mary from poisonous cobras, which came to their house through a hole in the kitchen.Victoria watched TV on the couch, as Chive suddenly jumped up, warning her of the presence of a cobra. Maria rushed with her ​​grandmother in a separate room, hoping that the snake is gone. But after a while, when Mary tried to leave the room, she was horrified to find a cobra in two meters away from me. Snake expanded its hood and spit venom, ready to deliver the death blow. "snake was in front of us, manouvering its impact," says Maria. "I loudly calling for help." That's when from "nowhere" appeared Chive, block the path of a cobra, using himself as a shield against attacks snakes. 
Chive cobra then grabbed by the neck and hit her on the floor, killing her. In the fight he sustained a fatal bite to the jaw, and after a few moments he began to choke and fell. family appealed for help to the vet, but they said nothing could be done.According to the vet, the bite was too close to the brain Chiva, and the poison has spread. Maria called her husband Marlon who stunned by the news, rushed home immediately. Ian de la Rama, a family friend, said that it took less than 30 minutes after the bite when Chive staggered eventually lost control of the body. But he was still clinging to life. Ian de la Rama describes: "Chive sighed twice and died. He fought and kept until the last ounce of breath to look at his master in the last two seconds of his life." Yang added that Recently, I did Chive, it wagged its tail to its owner.

2 Women Jailed For Begging With Kids

The Family Court 1 in Yaba Magistracy has jailed two women for trafficking and using children to beg for alms in Victoria Island area of Lagos, southwest Nigeria.

The women, Amarachi Eke from Imo State and Chioma Eze from Awka in Anambra State, sourtheast Nigeria, were arraigned at the court on Wednesday on a two-count charge of using underaged children to beg for alms. And they pleaded guilty to the charges.

Magistrate Y.O. Aje-Afunwa sentenced them to two months imprisonment each; one month for each count charge and they are also to pay a fine of N5,000. The jail terms will run concurrently.

In sentencing them, Aje-Afunwa said there was the need for the convicts to learn some useful lessons in prison and that since they were still young, they should engage in something more productive rather than using kids to beg on the street.

According to her, they have to learn  the hard way in prison not to engage in something bad in the society, believing that the prison would transform their lives for the better.

The two women were arrested at Ajose Adeogun Street, Victoria Island recently while begging with two kids, aged six and nine years. The stomach and legs of the kids were plastered with ointment and wool to give the impression that they were suffering from serious burns to attract public sympathy.

An Environmentalist, Betty Albert, was driving by and saw the gory sight of the nine-year old boy lying on the ground and decided to assist the victim.

Two Alleged Gay Nigerian Men Beaten to Death As Policemen Watch (Photos+Video)

Commenter Mariam E. shared this video of two alleged gay Nigerian men beaten to death with chunks of wood as policemen and passersby watched.

The video, which has been in circulation since December 2013, shows two males stripped of their trousers, laying on the mud amidst tires, and struck repeatedly with wooden planks on their head and torso. When the men were done with the last of their blows, both males on the ground had stopped writhing in protest, and were no longer rubbing hands together – pleading with them to stop. 

The alleged homosexual men laid still on the ground bleeding, while people in the video are heard saying “O ti ku” – in Yoruba, meaning “he is dead”.

After the spectacle was over, people – policemen and pedestrians alike – are shown walking away from the scene. The video also shows an ambulance present.

Pupils Wear Religious Regalia To School In Osun …Sing Different Religious Songs In Assembly

There was confusion at Baptist High School, Iwo, Osun State on Tuesday as some pupils shunned their uniforms and wore choir gowns, white garments, Islamic apparel   and other unconventional dresses to the school.

Although no group or individual could be identified as the mastermind of the bizarre dress code by the pupils, there were, however, conflicting reasons for the behaviour.

While some people said the unconventional dresses were a way of registering dislike for the same uniform introduced by the government for all schools in the state,  others said some Christians who were opposed to wearing of hijab in schools founded by Christian missionaries orchestrated the drama.

The suit instituted on the issue of hijab wearing to school is still pending before an Osun State High Court.

But Tuesday confusion reportedly became more pronounced at the assembly ground as the pupils could not listen to their teachers because they were busy lining up themselves along religious lines.

Former Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Alhaja Ojikutu, Arrested For Fraud, To Appear In Court on Wednesday

The Special Fraud Unit (SFU) of the Nigeria Police on Tuesday arrested a former Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Alhaja Sinatu Aderoju Ojikutu, and she will appear in court tomorrow in connection with fraudulently obtaining N130million from one Cajethan Okekearu.

Mrs. Ojikutu was declared wanted on June 19, 2013, but she went to court to halt police investigations, a suit that was thrown out by a judge a few weeks ago.

The SFU police spokesperson Ngozi Isintume-Agu said in a statement that Alhaja Ojikutu, 67, who was picked up at her Lagos Island residence, allegedly connived with one Samson Adebisi Ojikutu Jnr, her son, to commit the offence.  Samson is currently in the United States.

According to the statement, the former deputy governor and her son “were parties to the sale of the land and both signed the agreement given to the Complainant and obtained the sum of N130 million from him.”

Man, Daughter Crash Into Lagos Lagoon, Wife Survives

A man and his daughter on Tuesday morning drowned in Lagos as a Toyota jeep in which they were travelling fell off the Ikota Bridge in Ajah and plunged into a lagoon.

Mr Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, the General Manager, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), confirmed the accident.

He said that the man’s wife was thrown out by the vehicle as it somersaulted before plunging into the lagoon.

The LASEMA official said the accident occurred at about 1.00 a.m., and that the bodies have been deposited at a mortuary while the woman was taken to a hospital.
