The promoters also footed the bill for their hotel stay, the couple lodged at the super fancy Armani Hotel. Their transportation while in Dubai was also paid for.

29-Year-Old Man Kills Daughter Over Plate Of Rice

THE police in Rivers State have arrested a 29-year-old man, Kingsley Ekerete, who killed his seven-year-old daughter over a plate of boiled rice in Obimama, Oyigbo Local Government Area of the state.
Kingsley Ekerete, 29, a commercial driver who hails from Nto Osung community in Ikot Ekpene Local Area of Akwa Ibom State, holds just a First Leaving Certificate and has to drive his bus daily through the bustling traffic of Port Harcourt to make ends meet and put food on the table for his young family.
Judging from his looks, no one would have taken him for a murderer or imagined that he is capable of killing his own child.

Constance Briscoe, 56, was convicted of perverting the course of justice during the downfall of the then Cabinet minister after he asked his wife Vicky Pryce to take his speeding points in 2003.
Briscoe was found guilty at the Old Bailey yesterday, after pursuing a vendetta to destroy 59-year-old Huhne's career after he left Pryce, 61, for his bisexual aide Carina Trimingham.

Man jailed for murdering his ex-girlfriend who was left in a vegetative state for three years after he pushed her out of his pickup truck during a fight

A New Jersey man has been found guilty of the involuntary manslaughter of his ex-girlfriend and been sentenced to spend up to 20 years behind bars.

Michael Morrone was charged on Wednesday with the third degree murder of Christine McGhee after a December 2008 incident left her in a vegetative state.

McGhee was a sophomore at Kutztown University in Bucks County, Pennsylvania and she was drunk at a party when she called her ex, Morrone, to come get her.

Nigeria Police force,spokesperson,  Frank Mba, has said that 12 persons are confirmed dead in a new bomb blast that ripped through a taxi park in Nyanya, Abuja, about 8:50PM Nigerian time.

 Mr. Mba  who spoke to reporters at the scene of the blast also said 19 people were  injured in the attack.

The latest blast, coming 16 days after the first in which at least 70 were killed and 200 injured, will be a big blow to a planned Nigerian Economic Forum scheduled for the capital city next week.  Nigeria has been assuring foreign governments that the environment is secure for the conference.

Chelsea finally agree to sign Diego Costa in £32million transfer

They have been chasing him for months, and now Chelsea have apparently got their man after finally agreeing to sign Diego Costa from Atletico Madrid.

Costa, who scored against in the Blues in the Champions League this week, is Jose Mourinho’s number one transfer target – and it appears he’s landed him early.

According to reports in Spain, Chelsea have wrapped up the transfer after agreeing to meet the striker’s £32million buyout clause.

Costa has also accepted personal terms on a five-year contract, with the move set to be formally announced at the end of the season.

A gang of ‘cocky’ drug dealers have been jailed after police found mobile phonephotos of them posing with a stash of cannabis and bundles of cash.

Almost £1,000 of cannabis, dealer bags and digital scales were seized during a series of raids in the Kings Norton area of Birmingham in February last year.

One photo found on a mobile phone showed one of the gang showing off with handfuls of cash and used notes stuffed into his waistband.

Man forced to call police because stubborn GOAT won't get off his car [Photos]

The rural resident was forced to call police when two of his neighbour's goats decided his car was a mountain and refused to come back down.

Worse still, police claim the animals are repeat offenders.

An officer was called to the woodland home in Richmond, Maine, to what the small town's police force logged succinctly as an 'animal problem'.

They arrived at the house on the evening of April 19 and had to contact the goats' owner, who brought them back under control.
