Police Rescue A Tortured Boy From kidnappers’ Den In Ota Area of Ogun State Nigeria [Photos]

Fate smiled on an unidentified young boy hawking on Alhaji Jamiu Sulaimon Street in Itele, Ota area of Ogun State on Tuesday evening as he was rescued from kidnappers in the area, just as he was about to be killed.

A resident of the street, Abdulateef Isa, told our correspondent that the rescued boy used to hawk belts on the street.

Isa said, “The boy is Igbo, he sells belts and he is known by many in this area even though we don’t really know his name.

“He was hawking with his friend yesterday (Tuesday) before this whole issue came to light. His friend, who is also an Igbo boy, knew when he was called into the compound but when he waited for more than 30 minutes and his friend had not come out, he raised the alarm.”

A sham marriage was exposed after one of the participants was unable to give basic details about their spouse to the registrar, a court has heard.

Home Office were tipped off by register office staff who noticed little interaction between Robert Horvath, 35, from Commercial Road, Newport and Uzoma Onwuha, 30, from Chatham Place, London.

Nigerian native Onwuha appeared before Cardiff Crown Court today on a charge of obtaining leave to enter or remain in the UK by deception.

 Diners across China have reacted with horror after covert pictures showing noodle factory workers sticking their bare feet in the foodstuff were released online.

One staff member at the factory in Dongguan City was even pictured taking a nap on piles of noodles before the snack was packed and sent off to customers.

The plant, called the Tongcheng Rice Noodle Factory, was involved in a similar hygiene scandal last year when owners promised to clean up their act.

A spokesman for the Food and Drug Administration said: 'Undercover photographs taken in the rice products factory show plain clothes employees kicking around piles of noodles on the floor with their bare feet.
