Chiwetel Ejiofor Is Awarded A CBE By The Duke Of Cambridge For Services To Drama


British actor/writer of Nigerian origin Chiwetel Ejiofor has been awarded a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) for his services to drama by the Duke of Cambridge during an official ceremony held at Buckingham Palace in London



The '12 Years A Slave’ star actor received the award from the Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, during an official ceremony held at Buckingham Palace in London on Tuesday, October 26, 2015.
The actor, who grew up in London, received the recognition for his service to drama.
Discussing his CBE award, his sister, CNN presenter Zain Asher, said the BAFTA award winner always dreamt of acting.

The 38-year-old actor who played Solomon Northup in 2013 film “12 Years A Slave” was formerly awarded an OBE in 2008, but now he’s got the CBE to add to his list of accolades.
