Three witnesses were presented by the prosecution at the resumed hearing, including Chief Akinpelu Adelodun, who was the couple’s landlord in Ibadan.
Adelodun told Justice Muktar Abimbola that he was at the apartment of the couple when the argument became ugly and that he made an attempt to calm them down. He said Yewande insisted that she would injure her husband.
The landlord told the court that the misunderstanding continued till around 3am and that at a point, Yewande became calm.
He said he was, however, surprised to hear a noise around 6am same day.
Earlier, Adelodun said a cheque issued in his name as transport fare to appear in court should be returned.
Adelodun was alleged to have requested his transport fare before he would appear in court, but he denied the allegation, saying that he did not instruct anyone to make the demand on his behalf.
The landlord is among those listed to testify against her.
