The European Union Election Observation Mission to Nigeria tweeted Saturday night a summary of its report on the 2019 election, amidst controversies and distortions of what it said.

Apart from highlighting flaws in the election, the Mission recommended some 30 points for rectification against the 2023 election.

“#EU election observation mission’s final report on general elections in Nigeria. 30 recommendations to improve future elections. “Systemic failings are seen in the elections, and the relatively low levels of voter participation, show the need for fundamental electoral reform”.
