NIGERIAN SWORN IN AS COUNCILLOR IN BELGIUM

Meet Collins Nweke, a Nigerian in far away Belgium who is doing his own part to prove to the world that there are still hard working Nigerians with integrity.

This past Friday, Nweke was sworn in as Councillor of West- Flanders Constituency in Belgium. 46 year old Nweke, 46, left the shores of Nigeria in 1993.

He is a member of the Belgian Green Party and was re-elected last year having made history in 2006 when he became the first non-Belgian born politician to win an elective position in West-Flanders.

The entire Yoruba actors and actresses literally relocated to the city of Ibadan, Oyo State, on Friday, when they gathered amid thousands of other mourners at the burial ceremony of their colleague, Bisi Komolafe.
Her colleagues, Fathia Balogun, Bimbo Oshin, Odunlade Adekola, Ayo Adesanya, Femi Adebayo, Yinka Quadri, Abbey Lanre, Taiwo Hassan (Ogogo), Yomi Fash Lanso, Doris Simon, Nike Peller and Rose Odika, broke down in tears as the remains of the actress were lowered into the grave at the cemetery.
Bimbo Oshin was short of words; Taiwo Hassan (Ogogo) could not utter a word, Yinka Quadri’s face was tearful, Ireti Osayemi and Ayo Adesanya, who sat together inside the church, also betrayed emotions. Abbey Lanre, told Saturday Tribune that he was particularly pained because she loved Bisi dearly and that he would always remember her for her special way of interpreting roles. However, most of her colleagues chose not to talk, as they simply expressed their emotions by weeping.

The Moment Drunken Passenger Is Taped To His Seat During Flight To New York after 'trying To Choke One Woman And Ranting The Plane Was Going To Crash'

A drunken passenger on a New York-bound intercontinental flight was duct-taped to his seat by his fellow passengers after attacking one woman and screaming the plane was going to crash.
Passenger Andy Ellwood, who took a photo of the man restrained, wrote an account of the incident on his Tumblr page.
'(Passenger) drank all of his duty free liquor on the flight from Iceland to JFK yesterday,' Ellwood wrote.

'When he became unruly, (i.e. trying to choke the woman next to him and screaming the plane was going to crash), fellow passengers subdued him and tie him up for the rest of the flight. He was escorted off the flight by police when it landed.'
The man, who's name has not yet been released, was arrested upon landing at JFK.

We gathered that the bride is the daughter of Mohammed Shaaba Lafiagi, a former governor of Kwara state, and currently a senator representing Kwara North senatorial district.

According to ‘Diva e Donna’, an italian magazine.The magazine says Abigail Barwuah – Balotelli’s biological sister – is pregnant and the father is said to be Martins, a 28-year-old striker at Inter, Newcastle United, Vfl Wolfsburg, Rubin Kazan, Birmingham City and now Levante.

The magazine quotes Abigail as saying: “The baby is making its presence felt. This is a very special Christmas for me.”

One man, 100,000 toothpicks, and 35 years: An incredible kinetic sculpture of San Francisco

Thirty five years ago I had yet to be born, but artist Scott Weaver had already begun work on this insanely complex kinetic sculpture, Rolling through the Bay, that he continues to modify and expand even today.

The elaborate sculpture is comprised of multiple “tours” that move pingpong balls through neighborhoods, historical locations, and iconic symbols of San Francisco, all recreated with a little glue, some toothpicks, and an incredible amount of ingenuity.

The goat was born in Perundurai, Erode, India. Its owner, Kandasamy, said that in his 10 years of breeding goats, this is the first time he has encountered this.
“I have never witnessed such an incident in the past. A female goat gave birth to two calves, one of whom has just one eye right in the center of its forehead.”
According to Dr. K. Asokan, Coimbatore VOC Park Zoo‘s director, the goat’s unusual appearance was caused by a genetic disorder.
“It’s rare to see such goats in the villages,” Dr. Asokan said.

The police command in Kogi state have arrested a middle aged man, Mr Hosea Folorunsho in Egbe town of Yagba West local government council for the alleged gruesome murder of his son for ritual purpose.
