Photo: Boy Survives After His "Devilish" Mother Buried Him Alive For Two Days

A young mother, Adeola Joseph, that buried her only child alive in her residence in Osogbo, Osun state for two days in 2012, has been jailed for six years. The trial Chief Magistrate, Mr Olusola Aluko, ordered that the 18-year-old mother should serve the jail term with hard labour. Handing down the judgment, the magistrate said the convict who looked unrepentant, did not deserve to live among humans.

He noted: “The convict is callous and may not change from her devilish act as she did not show any remorse. She may do worse if given the opportunity to continue to live amongst human beings. She needs to learn how to live among human beings and not animals.” Before her arrest at Ijetu area of the state capital and consequent conviction, she was said to have made several failed attempts in the past to eliminate the two-year-old baby,

"My Boyfriend Is The Father Of Our Baby" - Married Woman Confesses

A major controversy is currently threatening the peace of Alagbado, a suburb of Lagos.

A man, Akeem Amodu, and his wife, Awawu Oluyide, are at daggers’ drawn over who the true father of their one-month-old baby girl is. The baby was christened on February 17 but the ceremony wasn’t held in Amodu’s house. Before the date, Awawu had packed her belongings and relocated to the home of her boyfriend with her baby. She claimed her husband was not the true dad of the baby, insisting that she had just returned the baby to the authentic father. But Amodu would have none of that. He is insisting that the baby girl is his daughter.

Following reports that Chris Kwakpovwe, the publisher of Our Daily Manna publisher was embroiled in a adultery scandal, his church has kicked back describing the story as false.

A MUST READ! The Lies About Nigeria Oil Blocs

After digging up the mess in the divisive comments that Northerners owned 83% of oil blocs, Daily Trust says it has uncovered the truth: most performing oil blocs belong to operators from the South.

Reeling out facts and figures about ownership of oil blocs in the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly last week, Senator Ita Enang, Chairman, Senate Committee on Business and Rules, representing Akwa Ibom North, cut the picture of a senator whose intellectual capacity drew close to the ideal member of the Senate. At least, in Nigeria, very few senators engage in in-depth research ahead of debates on the floor of the Chamber.

It would be the second time that this distinguished senator would demonstrate his brilliance on serious national issues in recent times. Earlier in January, he discovered a large hole in the activities of the Senate’s Anti-Terrorism Bill, which, contrary to best practices in developed countries, made the Office of the National Security Adviser (NSA), the custodian of the vital law. As it were, he couldn’t hold on to his excellent point of view, because when the law was eventually passed, the defect was not corrected.

Hostages May Still Be Alive – Minister

The Minister of Interior, Mr. Abba Moro, has said that the reported killing of seven kidnapped  foreign construction workers by a militant Islamic group, Jama’atu Ansarul Musilimina Fi Biladis Sudan, remains unconfirmed.
“As long as it (killing) remains unconfirmed, efforts will be made to ensure their rescue and security,”  Moro told the Hausa service of the British Broadcasting Corporation on Monday.
“I want us to also think that belief is quite different from confirmation. And maybe the affected countries believe that was what happened, but on its part, the country where it is said to have happened, based on what it sees, is doing the best it can in ensuring the men are freed, who it hopes are alive.”

Tales Of Woe As The Number Of Nigerian Deportees Keeps Rising

Foluke Oloruntoba prods the conscience of the nation and consciousness of Nigerians to the persistent ugliness in illegal migration of Nigerians abroad and the debasement of their humanity by the host countries.

Mayowa's (not real name) euphoria was about to be cut short by the suspicious look on the faces of the Scottish immigration officers who could not but expertly identify a first timer who had come to add to the amount of destitutes on their streets. Mayowa was held back at the airport. Still unaware of his offence, he was taken back and questioned. He only had the opportunity of seeing "Welcome to Scotland" before he was sent back to his motherland. His dreams had seemed so near, yet so far.

Photo: Mexican Walking Fish Called Ambulatory

Walking fish, sometimes called ambulatory fish, is a general term that refers to fish that are able to travel over land for extended periods of time. The term may also be used for some other cases of nonstandard fish locomotion, e.g., when describing fish "walking" along the sea floor, as the handfish or frogfish.

The picture above is of Axolotl, an aquatic salamander native to Mexico, which is colloquially known as the "Mexican walking fish", although it is not a fish, but an amphibian.

Jay didn’t keep his thoughts to himself, and after saying that Halle’s Oscars gown was his favourite, the TV star added: ‘I like this dress better’. More Photos after the cut......

10 Cool Qualities Of The Tibetan Mastiff, The Most Expensive Dog In The World

The Tibetan Mastiff is all the rage among wealthy people in China, with purebreds going for as high as 10 million yuan ($1.5 million) in recent years. But what do we really know about the most expensive dog in the world?
For one, it’s an ancient breed that originated in Central China. Legend has it Marco Polo spotted them on his travels and, probably still miffed about not finding a unicorn, exaggerated, describing them as “tall as a donkey with a voice as powerful as that of a lion.” This is how I usually describe myself, and believe me it’s a lot to live up to.
It’s also worth noting that the Tibetan Mastiff is not a true mastiff, which is “a type of large dog often used as guard dogs.” This is not a dig to Tibet, but the “Tibetan Terrier” is not a terrier either, nor is the “Tibetan Spaniel” a spaniel.
