Alligator drags boy into the water near Disney World's Grand Floridian resort

A two-year-old boy is missing after he was dragged into a lagoon by an alligator near a Disney World hotel in Orlando - despite his father's frantic attempts to wrestle his son from the reptile's jaws.

The boy was dragged into the Seven Seas Lagoon near the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa (inset) around 9.20pm on Tuesday as he paddled in a foot of water with his family despite 'no swimming' signs being posted nearby. Alligators are relatively common in the waterways near Disney resorts but are supposed to be removed if they get too close to guest areas.

Orlando shooting survivor recounts moment Omar Mateen tried to 'spare' black people

Patience Carter, 20, was partying with friends Tiara Parker and Akyra Murray, 18, at Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida Saturday night. Carter and Parker survived the shooting but their friend Murray did not. On Tuesday, Parker spoke about the shooting as she continues to recover at the hospital. Parker says that she and Murray escaped the club early on in the shooting but returned to find Parker.

They were then shot and held hostage by the gunman for three hours. During the standoff, Parker says the shooter, Omar Mateen, asked if there were any black people in the stall where she and her friends were hiding. 'I don't have a problem with black people,' Mateen reportedly said. 'This is about my country. You guys suffered enough'.

Kate and David Ogg always wanted a family, but struggled to conceive. After three years of trying, the couple learned they were finally pregnant with twins. They were thrilled and planned to name their new babies, Jamie and Emily.

However, Kate Ogg’s pregnancy took a quick turn six-and-a-half months into the pregnancy and the babies had to be delivered prematurely.

During the birth, the Ogg’s were told that their son Jamie did not survive.

“He stopped breathing and his heartbeat was nearly gone. After 20 minutes they stopped working on him,” Kate Ogg told the Daily Mail.

Immediate-past Nigerian High Commissioner to South Africa, Ambassador S.S Yusuf, was murdered in the early hours of yesterday by yet-to-be identified assassins.

According to an eyewitness, Oche Andrew who spoke to our correspondent when he visited the scene of the incident in Zone 6 District of Abuja, the former ambassador was thrown out through the balcony of his apartment by the four assailants who broke into his house at about 2am on Monday night.

The eyewitness said he was thrown out from the third floor of the apartment. He added that as the time the unfortunate incident happened, the late diplomat was alone.

“We woke up this morning only to find the body of the man lying lifeless. That was when I overhead neighborhoods saying that some people broke into his apartment midnight. They threw him out through the balcony and he died right there,” the eyewitness, Andrew told Daily Sun.

Orlando's Pulse nightclub where at least 50 were massacred by terrorist

A series of photos shows the devastating scene left after Omar Mateen opened fire inside an Orlando gay night club killing 50 innocent people and injuring dozens more.

Mateen, who is the worst mass shooter in American history, shot more than 100 people with an AR-15 assault rifle and handgun on the dance floor at Pulse night club early Sunday morning.

The gunman exchanged gunfire with an officer working around the club at 2am before going back inside, according to Orlando Police Chief John Minia.

Writing on Facebook, Pulse, which described itself as the most prominent gay club in Orlando, urged party-goers to 'get out and keep running' as bullets started to fly.

Terrorist Omar Mateen shot dead 50 people and wounded at least 53 more during the massacre at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando in the early hours of Sunday morning - and called 911 just before the attack to pledge allegiance to ISIS.

Mateen, 29, of Port St. Lucie in Florida, reportedly laughed as he sprayed bullets into the crowded club before he was shot dead by a SWAT team several hours after launching his horrific massacre with a legally bought assault rifle and pistol.

Barbara Mensah, who alleges her daughter Kiiursti is the lovechild of the three-times world heavyweight champion, wants a six-figure sum for the footage.

Just two days after The Greatest was buried at a funeral attended by world leaders and celebrities, grasping Barbara told the Sunday People :

Orlando gay club shooter Omar Mateen was investigated TWICE by the FBI

Omar Mateen (left) killed at least 50 people and injured 53 more at Pulse gay club in Orlando on Sunday before he was shot dead by authorities. The FBI named Mateen a person of interest in 2013 and again in 2014, first because he made inflammatory comments to coworkers alleging possible terrorist ties, and over a potential connection with American suicide bomber Moner Abu Salha (pictured right), who lived about 30 minutes away in Vero Beach.

Marteen was also allegedly a member of Timbuktu Seminary, a website run by radical Islamic cleric Marcus Dwayne Robertson, also known as Abu Taubah (inset top). Mateen's house (pictured center inset) has been sealed and the FBI is bringing in bomb diffusing equipment.

PMNews reports that one of the fully armed Nigerian Customs Assistant ‘1’, Mr. Yusuf S. S with Service No. 48730 and a card No. 368 attached to the Federal Operations Unit, Zone ‘A’ Ikeja was said to have slapped Magistrate Aka-Bashorun for ordering his court officials to impound Nigerian Custom officers private vehicles for traffic offences.

Taskforce spokesman, Taofiq Adebayo said officers of the Nigerian Customs Service at Ikeja who trooped out en-mass angrily and violently reacted to the operatives of the Lagos Mobile Courts, claiming that they were Federal Government Agency and were fully exempted from any of the Lagos State Government’s laws, particularly the Lagos State Road Traffic Laws of 2012.

Emmanuel Nwachukwu, a 52-year-old father-of-four, stated this while being paraded by the police in Minna, Niger State, along with the second suspect, Chinedu Andrew, 22. The duo were accused of raping their 12-year-old Primary Six, neighbour.
