A terrorist gunman has killed 84 people and seriously injured dozens more after he used a 25-tonne lorry to go on a mile-long killing spree by mounting pavements at high speed and ploughing through crowds celebrating Bastille Day in Nice last night.

The killer, a 31-year-old French Tunisian who was known to police, then got out and sprayed fleeing revellers with bullets before being shot dead by police after his 30 minute rampage, which has left 54 children injured alone.

10 days after three robbers, attacked the Publisher of Vanguard Newspapers, Sam Amuka-Pemu, in the Anthony Village area of Lagos State, they have been arrested and made an open confession of how they got inside information from one of his security guards.
According to Punch Metro, the robbers, who are nationals of Republic of Chad, were identified as Umar Hussein, 46; Atim Abukakar, 31; and 35-year-old Abdulrazak Hassan.

They claimed to have made away with N200,000, phones and valuables kept in Amuka-Pemu’s wardrobe.

Senator Dino Melaye of the All Progressives Congress, representing Kogi west, has confirmed that he threatened and abused Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the senator representing Lagos central, during the senate’s closed-door session on Tuesday.

Ekiti state governor, Ayo Fayose, yesterday night visited Ekiti state teaching hospital where some students of the Ekiti state University ‎who survived a fatal accident that killed 8 of their colleagues, are being treated.

The accident occurred when the EKSU students' cab and an 18- passengers BUS collided along the NNPC-Iwokoro Ekiti State University yesterday evening. Speaking at the hospital, Fayose described the incident as unfortunate.

A commuter bus conveying Ekiti State University students got involved in an accident, leaving at least seven people dead.
