Contrary to viral reports, Gambia’s president-elect Adama Barrow is alive, sources from The Gambia have confirmed.

Reports about his death claim he was assassinated by unknown assailants.

CBN Television reported that the assailants overpowered the security guards of Mr. Barrow, leaving two of the guards dead and other six injured from gunshots.

Gambia’s president-elect Adama Barrow who vowed to take office on January 19 despite the refusal of outgoing President Yahya Jammeh to give up power has been killed by unknown assailants.

The assailants overpowered the security guards of Mr. Barrow, leaving two of the guards dead and other six injured from gunshots.

President Yahya Jammeh, the ‘prime suspect’ has denied any involvement in the incident.

During the outage, passengers were able to be processed because customs had access to national security-related databases. There is no evidence that the computer malfunction signified hacking. A Nigerian young man has kicked off the new year in grand style, after getting married to two women on the new year's eve.

According to a post made on Twitter by an Abuja-based political blogger, Abubakar Sidiq, a man identified as Isyaka Dahiru, has gotten married two wives on New Year's eve.

Pandemonium broke at Oke-Ijetu beside Ilesa garage, Osogbo, Osun State capital, as two siblings reportedly drowned inside a river over the weekend. According to an eyewitness, the tragedy occurred on the eve of New Year. The deceased, who were 16 and 14 years of age respectively, were said to be playing football in a pitch very close to the river at Oke-Ijetu ‎area.

Another eyewitness revealed that the two brothers were trying to pick their ball that fell into the river where they both drowned.

A woman has been arrested after she was caught trying to smuggle a teenager over the border into Europe in a suitcase.

The Moroccan was stopped at the border with Spain on December 30 after the civil guard became suspicious about her package.

They found the 19-year-old from Gabon curled up inside the suitcase in Ceuta, a Spanish enclave in northern Africa.

Yesterday 1,100 migrants tried to cross into the enclave from Morocco.

Man Cancels Wedding In Nigeria, A Day To The Day After He Caught Fiance Cheating
