Female Ex- NYSC Members Arrested While Celebrating Passing Out In Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Alleged Of Prostitution

Over 30 women, mostly female ex-members of the National Youth Service Corps, were arrested yesterday night while celebrating their passing out at a popular joint in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

A team of Special Anti-Robbery operatives stormed the popular Maitama in Ewet Housing, arresting all the women present in a raid aimed at eradicating the area of prostitutes. They were ex-corpers but arrested as prostitutes... sigh

Lekki Wife Pays Assassins To Murder Her Husband For 'Over- Monitoring' Her Movements

The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed that they have arrested a middle aged woman who allegedly engaged the services of professional assassins to murder her husband and father of her 4 children.

The female suspect was arrested at her house located within the Lekki area of Lagos after it was confirmed that she paid about N600,000 to assassins to help her carry out the killing with the promise of paying a balance of N400,000 when the husband is confirmed dead.

Federal Government Withdraws Forgery Charges Against Saraki And Ekweremadu

The federal government on Thursday withdrew the charges of criminal conspiracy relating to the alleged forgery of the Senate Standing Orders, 2015, filed against Senate President Bukola Saraki and his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu, at the Abuja High Court.

In doing so, the Ministry of Justice filed an application to amend the charges and attached the amended charges. In the new charges, only the former clerk of the National Assembly, Mr. Salisu Maikasuwa, and a former deputy clerk, Mr. Ben Efeturi, were listed as the accused persons.

In his acclaimed publication ‘The Trouble with Nigeria’ published 33 years ago, in 1983, the late Chinua Achebe pointed out that the ‘ the trouble with Nigeria is simply and squarely a failure of leadership’.

Thirty-three years on this is still true but with an added ‘but’.

Nigeria is a very difficult country to govern: if not the most difficult in the world to govern. You have three major tribes with god-knows-how-many sub-tribes. Three major languages are spoken with over four hundred dialects. There are supposedly two major religions – Christianity and Islam – and again god-knows-how-many different heathen gods that are also worshipped.

Again you have over a hundred and eighty million inhabitants, most living below the poverty line and largely uneducated.

It all started so well and things were going on fine with 24 serious contenders working hazardously to be the chosen bride and become the candidate of the All Progressive Congress in Ondo State. Nobody expected a perfect primary election because you can not get that in this part of the world, at least not yet. However, going by the words of the National leader and the party hierarchy at both national and state levels, they were all expecting some decency and resemblance of a level playing field for all the gladiators.

The bubble busted when the news broke out that the national leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has endorsed one of the aspirants, Dr. Segun Abraham. This news jolted everyone and created confusion across the entire state. Prior to this, about four of these aspirants have claimed at one time to be the anointed aspirant of the revered national leader. Crisis engulfed Ondo State APC after this endorsement and the presidency intervened at some points.

A man has claimed to have received the "light" after being in "pretence" for a long time. The former pastor who clearly made it known that he doesn't believe in churches or pastors any more -said his life changed the moment he discovered himself (whatever that means).
