Tinubu Wins As Oyegun Withdraws From APC Chairmanship Race

Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, the national chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC has announced his withdrawal from contesting for another tenure as the party’s leader.

Oyegun, on Friday evening, told newsmen at his Abuja residence;

“Even though I had the desire to re-contest as National Chairman of the Party, I have decided that it is ultimately in the best interest of the Party for me to withdraw from the race”.


It will be recalled that Oyegun’s problems began after his fallout with the National leader of the party, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

A former governor of Abia state, Orji Uzor Kalu has made a rather startling revelation on Camera, admitting that when he was a member of the former ruling party, they ‘used’ to kill people during periods of crisis.

Roman Abramovich Reportedly Withdraws Uk Visa Renewal Application

Reports have emerged that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has withdrawn his British visa application due to delays in its renewal amid reports that he has acquired Israeli citizenship.

He reportedly took Israeli citizenship this week after being without a visa to Britain where he owns London-based Chelsea Football Club. However, with an Israeli passport, he will only be allowed to stay, but not work for up to half a year in the UK.

The Lagos Sate Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, at the weekend said that the proposed Bus Reform Initiative aimed at giving Lagosians an integrated public transportation system would kick start this year with a sinking fund of N30 billion.

Governor Ambode, who spoke to journalists, said his administration had identified the challenges Lagosians go through on a daily basis commuting via public transportation, saying the reform was aimed at providing a viable alternative.
