 A married father of two and another fiend raped a 16-year-old prostitute and tossed her from the roof of a three-story Brooklyn apartment building after she tried to back out of a deal for sex, law-enforcement sources said.

The teen, whose name is being withheld by the Daily News, was in serious condition at Brookdale University Hospital on Friday, days after the savage attack that nearly left her dead.

“She’s in a body cast,” said family friend Monifah Harper, 24. “Her mom said she’s talking, but still can’t move or anything.”

She might be five years old, but that doesn't stop onlookers from calling her 'Baby Charlotte'.

Charlotte Garside was born with a rare form of Primordial Dwarfism and currently weighs the same as a newborn baby, just 9lbs.

At birth, her parents, Emma and Scott, were warned that her chances of survival were slim, but despite her prognosis, the young girl has so far defied the odds.

"We've been told she looks like porcelain doll, a baby in a pram and people still call her baby Charlotte, which riles me something chronic, because she's not a baby, she's five years old," Emma tells Barcroft TV (above).

When triplets Audrey O'Donnell and Alan and Eric Lucas were born in 1933 they were so tiny their chances of survival looked slim.

Without the the benefit of today's technology, doctors had predicted their mother Doris may have been carrying twins using an ear trumpet.

Audrey was born first weighing 5lb, followed by Alan 20 minutes later weighing 3lb and surprise addition Eric came 20 minutes after that at just 2lb.

They were wrapped in cotton wool and cooking foil to keep them warm.

But against all the odds, the trio have just celebrated their 80th birthdays, surrounded by many of their 35 grandchildren.

A father was banned from seeing his newborn son after contracting a horrific herpes rash. 

Tom Greenhalgh, 27, was not allowed to be in contact with his son Austin for two weeks because the rare condition could have killed the newborn baby.

His upper body and head were completely covered in painful, weeping sores after he picked up a severe form of the herpes virus.

Mr Greenhalgh, from Ilkeston, Nottingham, believes that he became infected by nervously scratching himself as wife Kerry - already two weeks overdue - went into labour.

Mr Greenhalgh, who already had sensitive skin and eczema, was told he probably contracted the virus from something like a door handle and transferred it to a raw patch on his body.

He felt fine as little Austin arrived at Nottingham City Hospital and went home to get some sleep.

But a few hours later he woke up to find his neck was inflamed and painful and the rash quickly spread to his chest and face to his hairline.

Child defilement is becoming a source of concern in Benin-City, Edo State capital. It is even more worrisome when the act is carried out by supposedly men of God.

In the last few weeks, no fewer than five children have, allegedly, been defiled in Benin-City by men old enough to be their fathers. On Thursday, Edo State Police Command paraded 32 suspected criminals, amongst them, three accused of defiling children. The suspects include a pastor with the Deeper Life Bible Church, Abudu, Edo State, Eze Fidelis, who was said to have had carnal knowledge of two girls: Joy, 9, and Anthonia,11.

There is also the case of one Grace, 12, who was sent on an errand by her mother to get her a rechargeable lantern from a hall within their compound. When the said girl failed to return after 30 minutes, the mother went in search of her, only to discover that one Segun Oteru, 42, was allegedly having carnal knowledge of her in the hall.

The woman raised the alarm which attracted members of the public while the suspect was arrested.

The incident happened on July 6. The following day, one Saturday Cole, 35, and a co-tenant of the complainant (names withheld), allegedly lured the complainant's daughter, identified as Mariam, 11, into his room and had a carnal knowledge of her. While the victim was coming out from the suspect's room, her elder brother saw her and, on inquiry, discovered that the victim was not putting on her pants. The victim narrated her ordeal in the hands of the suspect. According to the victim, "uncle has always bought me things but I didn't know he wanted to have anything with me. He forced me and removed my dress, I was shouting but he closed my mouth and forced his penis inside me".

The unnamed woman was a passenger in the car when it hit the back of a truck in southern China's Guanxi province.

Woman Jumps Into Lagos Lagoon At Leventist Bus Stop In Lagos

In what appeared to be a suicide mission, a 45-year-old woman, identified as Ruth Amusan, allegedly jumped into lagoon at Leventist bus stop on Lagos Island yesterday and got drowned.

Witnesses said the woman jumped into the lagoon about noon, after ruminating by the bank of the lagoon for hours.

Observers had initially thought she was enjoying the fresh breeze from the lagoon. They were, however, taken aback when she suddenly dived into the lagoon. Her body was taken out of the water when it floated later.

The National Identity Card recovered from Amusan showed that she resided at No 1, Sule Street, Ijegun, Ikotun Egbe, Lagos.

Documents in a black polythene bag found at the bank of the lagoon, where witnesses said the woman had sat down for hours before jumping into the water, include Union Bank Savings Withdrawal Voucher, Union Bank Savings Deposit Voucher and Dividend Cheque of N8,000 issued by Union Registrars.
