Britons should brace themselves for the coldest night of the year as temperatures are set to plunge to -10C with air from the North Pole bringing wintry showers to batter the nation.  
Widespread frost and snowfall is on the way, following on from icy mornings that affected much of the country at the weekend. 
Britain is set to be colder than the Arctic Circle with snow flurries near East, West and North coasts this week, and plunging temperatures due in coming weeks as the coldest December for seven years is forecast.

Veteran comedian and filmmaker Moses Olaiya, popularly known as Baba Sala has passed on.

He died at the age of 82.

Ace comedian, Gbenga Adeyinka, broke the sad news Tuesday night.

“We lost him. What a great loss. An icon is gone”, he wrote on his Instagram page.

The late comedian, who was in limelight for decades, had solicited for funds to further his treatment.

A bank worker, Olaoluwa Adejo, has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for the death of his 28-year-old wife, Maureen, at their home on Peluola Street, Oworonshoki, in the Bariga area of the state.

The 32-year-old Lagos indigene was alleged to have tortured his wife of five years with a belt, as well as cutting her with a machete.

Police have today released one of the first CCTV films of a high-tech 'relay' car theft in the UK where a gang stole an expensive new car in a minute without needing its keys.
The two hooded criminals were able to override the Mercedes' security system in the Elmdon area of Solihull, Birmingham at 9pm on September 25 and the luxury vehicle has never been recovered. 

The footage shows the men pull up outside the victim's house. One can be seen waving a relay box in front of property, which searches for a signal from the key inside the house and transmits it to the second box next to the car. 
CCTV footage shows the men waiting briefly for the relay boxes to connect before the Mercedes' lights flash and the doors are opened.
