Husband Catches Wife With His Neighbour Having S*x, Hacks Him To Death

A middle aged man identified as Benjamin Fakande, yesterday killed his neighbour, one Jacob Unumbe after he caught him having $*x with his wife at Abinse town, in Guma local government area of Benue state Nigeria.
Fakande had reportedly suspected his wife was cheating on him and confronted her but she had denied the allegations and threatened to leave the marriage. So he decided to spy on her until he got proof she was having an affair with the deceased.
According to eyewitness, "He was forced to confront the deceased whom he cautioned to stay away from his wife because he was destroying his marriage, or be prepared to face the consequence of his inglorious acts. He also pleaded with family members to prevail on his wife, but that did not also yield anything positive."

The duo turned deaf ears and continued with the illicit affair which further enraged Fakande.

On that fateful day, Fakande caught them pants down in a neighbour's house and chased them with a big stick. When he caught up with Jacob, he inflicted several injuries on him with the stick after which he abandoned him in a pool of blood.

Mrs Fakande then raised an alarm which attracted the neighbours who came to the scene and rushed the victim to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

It was gathered from eyewitnesses that the deceased's family wanted to retaliate and avenge his death on the killer but the quick intervention of the Divisional Police Office in Gbajimba prevented this as the suspect was arrested.

A reliable police source confirmed the incident saying that investigation into the matter had begun.
