Thousands from across the African continent gathered in Johannesburg to celebrate the 52nd birthday of Nigerian televangelist TB Joshua.
The Synagogue Church of All Nations organised the event to honour Joshua along with the more than 80 South Africans who perished when a church building collapsedin Lagos in September last year.
Joshua did not attend the event on Friday night.
Janet Masokwane survived the September building collapse, but her husband didn’t.
"I feel happy and proud to be here to celebrate the birthday of the greatest man in the world," said Mosokwane.
Phumzile Mkhulisi's family turned down the invitation.
"You see these people are so heartless, they didn’t think about us as human beings, as families as people who have lost, for them it’s like they are dancing on our sister’s grave," Mkhulisi's brother, Lwandle said.
The church insisted the celebrations are an international event.
