John Boyega never jokes with his family, especially the females members.
On his Instagram, the Star Wars actor occasionally shares photos of his sisters, their growing up stories and how his eldest sister, Grace Boyega watched out for him as a child and was his ‘bodyguard’ during his first date.
This New Year, the Nigerian actor who is currently in Sydney, Australia, shooting a new project, is back again talking about his family, but this time with a collage of his mother and sisters and other females from his extended family. “Queens,” he called them.
Born to Samson and Abigail Boyega on March 17, 1992 in Peckham, London, Boyega has only two sisters – Grace and Blessing. He delved into theatre as child, and last year, the 24-year-old was awarded a patron of Theatre Peckham in London, where he started his acting career.
Now, Boyega features in top cinema, the most popular being playing a Stormtrooper in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Last year, he moved to Sydney for his new movie, Pacific Rim: Maelstrom in which he stars as the son of Idris Elba’s character from the first movie.
Now, the Nigerian star is talking family, and fans can’t help but fall in love with this grounded man.
