Would you take $18,000 (£11,700) to stay bed-ridden for 70 days straight? And we mean bed-ridden; you must remain horizontal at all times (yes, even when going to the toilet), enduring all the physical pain that involves.

Well, last year, NASA paid about 50 volunteers to do just that, to learn how muscle and bone would deteriorate in such conditions. The research may be useful for lengthy space missions in the future, such as trips to Mars.

According to Punch newspaper there were indications on Friday that members of the Senate Unity Forum had started wooing senators loyal to the Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki.

Saturday PUNCH reliably gathered that the move was part of fresh efforts to change the leadership of the Senate.

The group comprises senators, who were opposed to the emergence of Saraki as senate president.

Principal Of Federal Government College, Jos Impregnates Own Student, Rushes Her For Wedding

Wonder shall never end, as the principal of Federal Government College Jos has committed abominable act of putting one of his student, Aisha Bello into a family way.
The College Principal  Mohammed Manko, who impregnated his own student aged 17 year-old has secretly arranged with the student parents to elope the innocent student into his matrimonial home, even though the said Aisha Bello who is currently writing her NECO examination under the strict supervision of the principal.
Investigation revealed that the principal after putting the student into a family way had gone further to settle with the student parents for dowry that was paid in marathon to avoid Sharia law or further prosecution.

According to some  parents who spoke with our correspondent on condition of anonymity,said they, the parent under the auspices of Parents Teachers Association of Federal Government College Jos ,as a ritual always hold meeting occasionally to brain-storm on issues militating against the school.
And last Saturday was one of such day the body were to meet to discuss among other things, the sexual molestation of the rowdy principal on his students.
According to a parent who pleaded not for her name not to be mentioned ,the principal who already preempted the agenda of the meeting however instructed the security men on duty not to allow any parent entrance into the meeting venue.

According to a parent who was present at the entrance during the incident said, they were at the school on information that parents will be deliberating on pending issues regarding the welfare of students and progress of college but were denied access by the principal instruction.

Many parents have threatened to vacate their children for the fear of principal sexual harassment and molestation to students of college. Aisha Bello who is currently writing her final year NECO under strict supervision of the principal refused to pick calls.
Our investigation revealed  that parents of the college who are no longer comfortable with the shameful behavior of the principal against his students are threatening to withdraw their children\ward.

According to one of the parents”its very, very unfortunate,this is a teacher, principal of a big school like government college,   one would expect him to be a father to all of the students,but he is helping to destroy the future of the students”.

Another parent who claimed to have taught under Mr Manko as PTA teacher  said she have to resigned her appointment with the school because of the principal overbearing attitude particularly toward the female staff.

According to her,”he sleeps with them with reckless abandon with the promised to them that he will facilitate their permanent appointment with the college,on the male side ,he make them to cough out whooping sum of money without any result.”

The principal who apart from molesting his students ,is also alleged to be a cultist who  initiate his students into cult activities, this the staff said informed her reason to withdraw her daughter immediately she was through with her JSS 3.

Mr Manko who was said to have had a serious connection with the power that be ,was said to have been transferred on several occasions as he always bribe his way through, “he is one of the longest serving principal in Jos Federal Government College with over 10 years which is very unreal,and got to show that something is definitely wrong somewhere”

A Florida man stands charged with first degree murder after disemboweling his girlfriend when she yelled out her ex's name during sex. The 24-year-old man, identified as Fidel Lopez, told police he accidentally killed his 31-year-old girlfriend, Maria Nemeth, during a drunken post-sex rage incident.

Lopez called authorities shortly after 3.30am on 19 September and told an emergency operator that his girlfriend was having issues breathing and was going to die. Nigerian Fraudster Ruth Smith-Ajala Who Conned Students Out Of £1.5m Online Ordered To Pay Back £630k After Being Jailed Two Years Ago

A NIGERIAN national who helped defraud hundreds of UK students online has been ordered to pay back almost £630,000 after admitting she made £1.2million from her crimes.

On Monday (Sept 14), the Old Bailey heard how Ruth Smith-Ajala, 46, from Lambeth was jailed in December 2013 for her part in conning students out of more than £1.5m.

Students were sent emails inviting them to update details on their student loan account via a link to a bogus website.

When the site was accessed by the unsuspecting victims, a cyber crime gang gained unauthorised access to their bank accounts, stealing large amounts of money.

Smith-Ajala used her share of the cash to buy products in the UK, which she then shipped out for sale at a wholesaler in Lagos, Nigeria, that she owns.

During her trial, Smith-Ajala tried to convince the court that she was running a legitimate business but she was ultimately found guilty of conspiracy to launder money and mortgage fraud.

The mortgage fraud related to seven houses that Smith-Ajala was renting out in Gravesend, Northfleet and Chatam, in Kent; Grays, in Essex; and Catford, in London.

These are the faces of the six members of a suspected money laundering syndicate that were arrested yesterday at the Excel Oriental Hotel, along Airport Road in Lagos by officials of the NDLEA for swallowing US$156,000 which is about N32 million.

The syndicate specializes in swallowing dollars in a bid to by-pass anti-money laundering operatives at the airport. Photo above shows an empty accused box in the Code of Conduct Tribunal without Senate President Bukola Saraki during the first day of his trial over false declaration of assets. According to reports, counsel to the Federal government, MS Hassan, asked the court to compel Saraki to appear before the court and also requested that he be arrested and brought to court.

A supposedly mad woman, wearing a hijab, has been arrested by the police in Lagos for stealing three kids from a community at Itire area of the metropolis. The kids, between one and four years, were abducted as they were returning from an Arabic school in the community.


The suspect, Naimilatu Raheem, was said to have first attempted to kidnap a set of twins, not far from the Arabic school when their grandmother sighted her. The people around challenged her and rescued the twins.

She immediately disappeared from the scene.
Raheem, however, did not go far. She accosted Mrs Damilola Alimi on the road, who was returning from the Arabic school with her one-yearold baby, Fathia.
She snatched the girl from her mother.

Saraki Fails To Stop Trial: Set To Be Arraigned Today For Making False Declaration Of Assets

A Federal High Court in Abuja refused his prayer for an ex-parte order restraining the CCT, the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) and the Office of the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) from proceeding with his planned arraignment on a 13-count charge brought against him by the Office of the AGF.
Justice Ahmed Mohammed, who heard Saraki’s lawyer, Mahmud Magaji (SAN), in relation to the ex-parte motion in chambers, directed that the respondents be put on notice.
