Imo State born philanthropist, Engr. Ndubuisi Emenike, the founder of the Ndubuisi Emenike Foundation on Wednesday the 11th April 2018 dressed as a wretched man and hit a popular market known as World Bank Market in Owerri the capital city of Imo State.

According to Darlington Flowrymz Ibekwe, the multi-millionaire who disguised himself as a beggar - went round the market begging for a sum of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000) and so many people turned him down, people laughed at him, some asked him to get out of their shops angrily, but in all these, he remained calm and kept asking.

Former military President, General Ibrahim Babangida, has again urged Nigerians to ensure that only the younger generations were voted to power in the country.

Babangida, spoke at his country home, Minna, Niger State, when he received a delegation of YES Nigeria Movement, led by its convener, Ali Soyode.

He charged the delegation to seize the privilege offered by the next elections to serve their fatherland at a younger age.

A teacher at Handmade International Catholic School, Aguda, Lagos, and her blood sister have been arrested for threatening to kill the school’s head-teacher, a Reverend Sister.

The suspects have confessed that they wanted to teach Sister Mary Okolo, a bitter lesson for her highhandedness. The suspects are Ngozi Nnabude, 46, and Uchenna Agagwaonye, 40.

The Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgal, said investigation into the case revealed Agagwaonye, was frustrated by what she termed ‘highhandedness’ of Okolo and decided to make life miserable for her.

Popular comic actors, Emmanuella and Mark Angel, said a company once offered to buy their Facebook Page for $400,000.

According to Mark Angel, the money when converted to Naira was worth over N100 million (N144m) as at the time he got the offer. However, a WuzupNaija conversion showed that the money was worth N144,000,0360.00

Mark Angel said he declined the offer because it’s not all about money adding that “money cannot buy what we do”.

He further stressed that “you can sell it and start again but there are people who can only get a laugh through that channel and by selling it, you will deny them that chance”.

“Recently, a company wanted to buy out our Facebook page. I thought it as a scam but this company is well known and they offered us $400,000 when I converted it to Naira, it was more than N100million (N144m). My first thought was ‘guys lets sell it.’

According to multiple online reports, fire gutted the private residence of Delta Central lawmaker, Senator Omo-Agege at Asokoro area of Abuja on 14th April 2018, two days after the lawmaker was suspended from the Senate for 90-Days. The fire raged and was said to have spread from his private living room downstairs and within minutes, the building was on fire.

It took the intervention of his staff, neighbours and Federal Capital territory FCT Fire Service to put out the fire.

Nadinne claims her vision was constantly blurry as a result of the pressure placed on her optic nerve by the implant and her eyes were red and painful for months. She had to return to Colombia in March and June 2017 for two further procedures to attempt to repair the damage but was forced to seek medical attention at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami.

Ophthalmologist Dr Ranya Habash led a team of medics to remove the dangerous implants in September and Nadinne underwent emergency sight-saving surgery to treat glaucoma in November. As a result, the model has lost 80 percent of vision in her right eye and 50 percent in her left eye and will have to deal with the consequences of the surgery for the rest of her life.

There was serious commotion yesterday after a fight broke out in the sleepy town of Ijebu-Igbo in Ijebu North Local Government Area of Ogun State leading to the death of a young man. It was gathered that the man was hacked to death by cultists.

A commercial motorcycle rider, Stephen Gyang, has been arrested by the Plateau State Police Command for allegedly killing his girlfriend, Alice Samuel, and burying her remains in a shallow grave.

Punchng reports that Gyang killed the victim for wanting to force her pregnancy on him. The JSS2 dropout said he killed his girlfriend because she had initially said he was not responsible for the pregnancy.

He said she recanted on the prompting of her mother, who wanted him to take responsibility for the pregnancy. The incident happened in Tahoss village, Plateau State.

President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria will meet Donald Trump in Washington on April 30 to discuss issues including “fighting terrorism” and economic growth, the White House announced Sunday.

According to a statement by the White House, Trump will discuss issues such as promoting economic growth and fighting terrorism with Buhari. “The relationship of the United States with Nigeria is deep and strong, and Nigeria’s economic growth, security, and leadership in Africa will advance our mutual prosperity,” the statement said.

Nigeria has been combating the terrorist organization Boko Haram since 2009. The State Department under Trump approved the sale of 12 high-technology attack planes and equipment worth $600 million to Nigeria last year after the Obama administration halted the sale because of accusations that Nigeria’s air force was bombing civilians.

Nine arrested after fatal Nigeria bank robbery

Nine people have been arrested after 15 people were killed when armed men attacked two banks and a police station in central Nigeria, police said on Friday.

The gang struck in broad daylight in a busy commercial district in Offa, Kwara state, on April 6, opening fire indiscriminately as they made off with the looted cash.

Federal police spokesman Jimoh Moshood said the arrests were made during “massive raids” in Offa and the southwest, which saw a shoot-out between officers and suspects.

Those detained include the alleged mastermind of the attack, he added. Two pistols, ammunition and mobile phones belonging to some of the victims were recovered, he said.

South Africa National Police Commissioner General, Khehla Sitole says he welcomes the Conviction and sentencing of a 29-year-old mother in connection with the rape of her two-month-old baby.

In November last year, a doctor at Baragwanath Hospital in Soweto informed the police in Meadowlands, Soweto, that a severely injured two-month-old baby had been admitted to the hospital.

Sergeant Enez Lekgoathi of the Orlando Family Violence Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit (FCS) was tasked with the investigation.

During the initial interview, the Meadowlands mother claimed that the child had fallen from the bed.

The death of Tahir Tijani Bolori and his wife adds to the list of Nigerian couples who have died in recent times. Few months ago, it was reported that a newly wedded couple who tied the knot, last year November, both lost their lives in a fatal accident while returning from a wedding ceremony in Delta state.

Close friends and relatives who can’t just fathom series of event that led to their death are paid tributes to them on Facebook.

According to her, the baby died in her tummy two days before she was due to give birth. She said she suddenly felt no movement inside her on that day and was feeling very different and rushed herself to the hospital where she was induced and she gave birth to a baby boy who was already dead.

She explained that he died because his intestines were born on the outside of his body.

Many sympathised with the bereaved mother and sent condolence messages to her on her page while others were uncomfortable with the fact that she posted his dead photos

The ex-husband of actress Toyin Abraham, Adeniyi Johnson has said that his relationship with Co actor Seyi Edun will soon go to the next and permanent level.

The actor who said this in a recent chat also revealed that his two last holidays with Seyi Edun whom he started dating about two years ago were his best so far.

As a matter of fact, the actor would prefer Seyi is referred to as his wife and not his girlfriend.

The first time Ibrahim Ajibade wrote the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB Examination in 2017, he was 15 and scored a whopping 299. He went on to write the University of Lagos, Post Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, and got one of the highest scores that year. He was however refused admission on age ground. Only 16-year-olds and above can be admitted into universities in Nigerian.

Ibrahim wasn’t however deterred. He studied harder, added a year and sat again for the examination this year. As if reinvigoured, he surpassed last year’s scores by miles, returning with an amazing score of 343. He also became the first ever student to score that high in the 24-year history of his tutorial centre, Adams College, Oshodi, where he took classes for the examination.
