The baby girl was rescued by a construction worker named Eric Asher and his fiancée.

Active Sexual Intercourse Can Make You Look Seven Years Younger — Physician

The Chairman, Association for Advancement of Family Planning, Dr. Ejike Orji, has said men and women who maintain active sex life usually look between five and seven years younger than their actual ages.



The physician noted that consensual sex boosts the immune system, keeps the skin glowing and reduces stress.
The physician made disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Wednesday in Abuja.


Orji defined “consensual sex” as one that is permitted by both sexes involved in the act.
He, however, noted that if someone became incoherent under the influence of drugs or alcohol, that person could not be said to be of sound mind to consent to the sexual act.
According to him, the endorphins released during sex helps in boosting the immune system of human beings.

Oyo State Government Wants To Demolish Yinka Aiyefele’s FreshFM (Music House)

The Oyo State Government on Wednesday explained that the demolition notice to Music House, Fresh Fm 105.9, Ibadan, owned by popular musician, Yinka Ayefele, was not based on sentiments or witch-hunting, saying that contravention notices were served to different organizations in the state since June 14, 2017, including all radio stations in the state.

The government made this known in a statement by the State Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Toye Arulogun.

Popular tungba gospel musician Yinka Ayefele yesterday began the battle to save his Music House on a plot of land on Lagos-Ibadan bye-pass in Challenge area of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, from demolition.

How 25 Senators Can Impeach Saraki By Sunusi Musa (Abuja-Based Legal Practitioner)

The recent upheavals in the National Assembly has further brought to the fore the argument of what is the constitutionally required number of Senators or members of the House of Representatives to remove any of the presiding officers or their respective deputies.
By this, I mean the President of the Senate, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Deputy President of the Senate and the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives.


While some lawyers hold the view that the removal of any of the above-mentioned officers required 2/3 majority of the all the members of each house, others are of the view that what is required is 2/3 of the members present at a sitting provided they form a quorum. Each of the two opposing views is basing their argument on the provision of Section 50 (2) (C) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as altered) (1999 Constitution). The sad event occurred after the 88 year old Elder statesman married a young lady identified as Rosemary Ijeoma last year which went viral on the internet.

Suanu's Blog recalls that the wedding took place at the Presidential Hotel in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.

His former wife had died in 1991.

APC Accuses Saraki Of Committing ‘Treason’ For Failure To Reconvene National Assembly

The All Progressives Congress (APC) says the failure of the National Assembly of the leadership to reconvene, as had been widely expected, is highly treasonable.

Responding to the official confirmation by the National Assembly that it would not reconvene anytime soon, APC said: “Clearly, Saraki’s actions as Senate President now bother on high treason.”

Father Sexually Abused His Two Daughters 800 Times In Six Years – Police

A 43-year-old man has been accused of sexually abusing his daughters 800 times, during a span of six years by the police.

The father from the eastern German state of Thuringia, was accused of repeatedly abusing his two daughters, now aged 12 and 14, between 2012 and 2018. The public prosecutor in the town of Muehlhausen brought the charges against the 43-year-old man, as confirmed by the spokesman for the police.

The man’s arrest came after his younger daughter revealed the abuse to her mother in March. The father who largely admitted the charges but denied acting violently, was arrested at his workplace shortly afterwards and is currently in pre-trial custody.

Suspected Kidnapper Who Took Tramadol Dies After Sleeping For 9 Days

The Police in Ondo State say a suspected kidnapper who was arrested in a botched kidnap attempt in Owo is dead, following complications from a high intake of Tramadol tablets.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the suspect had been unconscious since his arrest over the August 5 incident at a chemist in Owo.

Police Public Relations Officer for Ondo State Command, Mr. Femi Joseph, made the death public while speaking with the NAN on Tuesday in Akure.

According to Joseph, the suspect died at Owo General Hospital where medical personnel had battled to revive him.

“The suspect died nine days after we arrested him; we thought he would be revived so that he could help us in our investigation. Unfortunately, he died yesterday (Monday).

On Saturday, August 11, the young widow narrated how her husband, Tochukwu died after he returned from Sunday Mass on July 8.

London Terror Probe After Several People Are Hurt When Car Intentionally Ploughs Into Cyclists At 50mph' And Smashes Into Security Barriers

Counter-terrorism police today completely sealed off Westminster after a car travelling at up to 50mph struck two pedestrians and ploughed into barriers installed to stop attacks outside the Houses of Parliament.

Maryam Sanda, the woman who allegedly stabbed her husband to death has been delivered of a baby boy.

According to Sahara Reporters, a low-key naming ceremony will hold on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, meaning the baby was born last Tuesday, August 7, 2018.

APC candidate, Ahmad Babba-Kaita, wins Katsina North by-election With 224, 607 Votes To Beat Five Other Contestants.

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Saturday’s senatorial by-election in Katsina, Ahmad Babba-Kaita, is the winner, released results show.
The Independent National Electoral Commission is soon to formally declare the winner.
But its released results, already paste at the collation centre, show that Mr Babba-Kaita, currently a member of the House of Representatives, polled 224, 607 votes to beat five other contestants.

His closest rival, who is his elder brother, Kabir Babba-Kaita, was only able to garner 59, 724 votes. The elder Babba-Kaita was the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party.
The other results show that GPN scores 1056, DA got 796, MPN secured 633 while MMN got 343 votes to emerge third, fourth, fifth and sixth respectively.
The seat became vacant in April following the death of Senator Mustapha Bukar.

A commercial sex worker, identified as Precious, has been found dead in Benin City, Edo State capital.

Information indicates that her body was found by the roadside, near a tomato market, on Upper Mission Extension Road.

A resident said they heard somebody shouting: “Please, please take the bag,” about 4 am where the body was found.

The witness said they did not come out because it was dark.  There were bruises in the hands of the deceased. Blood gushed out of her nostrils.

21,476 Nigerians Overstayed Visas In The US In 2017

No fewer than 21,476 Nigerians have overstayed their visas to the United States within the last one year, Per second news media reports on Thursday. It said that information it gathered from Washington indicated that those who overstayed include students, workers and tourists, with an increase in numbers of those that have refused to return to Nigeria.

Illegal immigration by overstaying a visa has been shown to outweigh a number of people entering by an illegal border crossing. More than 700,000 foreigners who were supposed to leave the United States during a recent 12-month period overstayed their visas, according to U.S Department of Homeland Security ‘ Fiscal Year 2017 Entry/Exit Overstay Report. 185,375 Nigerian visitors were expected to depart after their stay, with 630 of them overstaying their visas, while 19,046 visitors and businessmen and women refused to return to Nigeria and residing illegally inside the United States.

Death Of Boy, 7, Killed In Deptford House Fire Being Treated As Murder

The death of a seven-year-old boy who was killed in a house fire is being treated as murder, police have said. Joel Urhie was found dead after the fire in Deptford, south-east London. His mother, sister and brother are in the hospital. Women Wearing Burkas Look Like ‘Letter Boxes’, - Boris Johnson Claims

Boris Johnson has sparked anger by claiming that women wearing burkas look like letter boxes and bank robbers. His comments have been furiously condemned by Muslim leaders and Labour, with MP David Lammy branding him a ‘pound-shop Donald Trump’. The former foreign secretary made the inflammatory comments in his Daily Telegraph column.

However, he insisted that the burka and other face-covering veils should not be banned in public. Last week, Denmark followed France, Germany, Austria and Belgium in banning the burka and niqab. Mr Johnson said that schools and universities should expect students to remove face coverings if they turn up ‘looking like a bank robber’. 

Lady Pregnant For Over 4 Years, Gives Birth After Husband Left Her

A lady who has been pregnant for over 4 years, has welcomed a baby girl just after her husband left her for another lady. According to online sources, the husband of the lady said he can't be a husband to a woman who is pregnant with water and doesn't deliver it.

The President of Venezuela has called on Donald Trump to help him fight 'terrorist groups' after blaming an apparent assassination attempt using explosives-rigged drones on 'far-right' exiles from his poverty-stricken regime living in the US and Colombia.

Nicolas Maduro was addressing a military parade in Caracas on live TV this Saturday when he suddenly halted and looked to the sky after hearing an explosion. A terrified expression crossed his face before he and his wife Cilia Flores were swamped with aides carrying bulletproof shields. They both escaped uninjured.

The visibly shaken head of state said he saw a 'flying device' that exploded before his eyes but no drones appeared to be captured in footage of the incident. 

'This was an attempt to kill me,' the 55-year-old said later in an impassioned retelling of the events. 'Today they attempted to assassinate me.'

First Lady Melania Trump (left) has gone against her husband to publicly back NBA superstar LeBron James (right) and his new I Promise School - despite the President (inset) slamming James as unintelligent for his interview with CNN's Don Lemon on Monday. Trump slammed the LA Lakers star on Friday, saying the news anchor made LeBron look smart, which he claims is 'not an easy thing to do'. 

'It looks like LeBron James is working to do good things on behalf of our next generation and just as she always has, the First Lady encourages everyone to have an open dialogue about issues facing children today,' first lady spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham told Associated Press on Saturday. 

FLOTUS was not alone in her support. Michael Jordan, - James' rival for the title of GOAT - who received a positive shout-out in Trump's tweet, also shared his support for James in a statement issued on Saturday.
Melania's bold comments came just one day after senior aide Reagan Hedlund, who helped to develop the 'Be Best' anti-bullying initiative, was fired.
