Woman Poisons Her Sister-In-Law In Nigeria, Confesses After Burial (Photos)

Pandemonium has broken out in Agudama Epie in Bayelsa after aggrieved Ijaw youths descended on a lady who allegedly confessed to have poisoned her sister-in-law, a 37-year-old mother of eight children named Pinaere Promise from Ndoro In Ekeremor Local Government Area of the state.

The deceased Pinaere Promise reportedly collapsed on Sunday morning and died some minutes on her way to the hospital.

According to reports, it was said that the lady in the picture identified as Mama Torufa allegedly confessed to have poisoned the deceased after she started acting funny and had swollen face coupled with some sickness following the burial of her late sister-in-law.

It was disclosed that Mama Torufa's hands got paralyzed a night before service of songs for the victim and was absent from her home for two days.

It was a moment of joy for two sisters identified as Salamatou and Mariama as they relished the excitement of finally being able to race around their village after surgically correcting their physical condition. According to reports, the sisters have spent their lives watching others run and play as their windswept legs held them back.

What could have been a lifetime on the sidelines is now the starting point for the rest of their lives.

Former PDP Spokesperson, Dayo Adeyeye Decamps To APC

A candidate of the People's Democratic Party in the recently concluded PDP governorship election in Ekiti state, Prince Dayo Adeyeye has defected to the All Progressives Congress.

Naija News had earlier hinted that Adeyeye who is a former Spokesperson for the Peoples Democratic Party was planning to decamp to the APC after his defeat in the gubernatorial primary.

When he was asked about his intention to join APC, Adeyeye said: “Who told you that? Okay, Yes, i was in Abeokuta but it was a private visit. I will never join the APC. I have not decided on which party to join for now but definitely not APC” he said.

The police at Area M Command, Idimu, led by the Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP Augustine Akika have trapped a man naked as he sneaked into his neighbour's flat to sleep with his wife in Lagos.

It was gathered that the incident happened off NNPC Road close to Zenith Bank PLC area in Ejigbo Lagos where they resided.

The suspect identified as Mr. Ben Chimaeze had offered N1m but the husband of the woman insisted that he will not collect less than N5m, because he preferred to kill Chimaeze in his house.

Lagos Police Foil Attempted Murder Of Women Drugged And Defiled In Hotels (Photos)

The Lagos state police command says it has foiled the attempted murder of some women, who were drugged and defiled in hotels, Wellwood and De-Didos hotels in Ajangbadi, recently. 

The state commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, at a press conference, said on May 24, a 26-year-old man identified as Chibuzor Ayogu, who resides at 7, Abdullahi Street, Kirikiri, Apapa, was apprehended by workers at Wellwood Hotels after he tried to strangle an 18-year-old girl named Faith whom he had brought to the hotel to have sex with.

US Deports Naturalised Nigerian Man in Dallas for Sexually Abusing a 7 Year Old

A Nigerian man was deported Thursday after his U.S. citizenship was revoked in April following his conviction for indecency with a 7-year-old girl, a felony offence which he committed before he was naturalized.

Deportation officers with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) removed Emmanuel Olugbenga Omopariola, 61, to Nigeria May 24. 

He had been in ICE custody in the Dallas area since his arrest on April 18, 2018, when he surrendered himself at the ERO Dallas Field Office. He departed Dallas May 23 under ICE escort to Nigeria via JFK International Airport in New York City.

Bauchi Deputy Gov, Nuhu Gidado, Resigns

Gidado tendered his resignation in a letter dated May 16, 2018, to the state governor, Mohammed Abubakar.

He said he had lost interest in the job.

He wrote, “Ordinarily, I should have remained up to the end of the tenure, but, with the currently dampened spirit and waning zeal as it relates to my official engagements, my continued stay will not be fair and truthful to you as my brother and leader.”

Gidado thanked Governor Mohammed Abubakar and the people of Bauchi State for giving him the opportunity to serve.
