According to the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Abdulmajid Ali, the handsome young man above is the kingpin of the kidnapping syndicate that recently abducted the former Minister of State for Education, Senator Iyabo Anisulowo. He was nabbed last Tuesday at the Lagos airport while attempting to flee to Dubai.
The 65-year-old former minister was kidnapped while returning from her farm in Sawonjo, Ogun State and a N200m was placed on her head. She said she survived on only water for the 6 days she spent with her abductors. No money was alleged, paid to secure her release. .
.
While reacting to the news, the Ogun state governor said: “I think it’s a big shame that we found ourselves where we shouldn’t be; young people that should be working asking for ransom of N200m. They even said because I got involved, they increased it from N100m to N200m
They even threatened me and every other person. They said they will teach me, the IG, the Brigade Commander and all others lesson. They were abusing everybody on phone, but we thank God the way it was resolved.”
