Five Nigerians who stormed a Bureau De Change in Sharjah and carted away Dh2.3 million, have been arrested.
Two employees at the BDC were injured during the operation by the suspects who entered the country on visit visas, on March 18, 2019.
On March 20, four of the suspects stormed into the exchange office, while one waited in a car outside.

Five Nigerians Held For Robbery In UAE
Five Nigerians, who allegedly stormed a money exchange in Sharjah and fled with Dh2.3 million, have been arrested, the police said on Sunday. According to the police, the men barged into the exchange and smashed the glass barrier between the customers and the staff, stole the money in multiple currencies and fled.
Two employees at the exchange were injured as they resisted the robbers. One of them managed to notify the police.
The Sharjah Police coordinated with forces from Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah and Ajman to nab the suspects from four emirates within 48 hours after the robbery was committed.

The shooting victim, Omarian Banks, was dropped off at the Retreat apartment complex in Atlanta around 12:30 a.m. on Friday. According to police, Banks and his girlfriend recently moved into the building and Banks, still unfamiliar with the area, knocked on what he thought was his apartment door.

The Kwara state police command have arrested a Herbalist, Femi Emmanuel, over the mysterious death of a mother of two, Tawakalitu Mukaila, who had come to his home in Ila-Odo-owa, in Oke-Ero local government area of the state to seek for spiritual help.

We Had Sex But No Penetration - Doctor Accused Of Raping Patient Says
Dr Tijjani Faruk the medical doctor accused of raping patient, has denied penetrating the patient but confessed that they had sex.
The doctor while standing before an investigative panel set up by the Ministry of Health to investigate the matter, made the contradictory statement.
In an audio recording of the panel sitting obtained by Daily Nigerian, the doctor was heard admitting to having sex with the patient but later said the sex was without penetration.
“To the best of my recollection, the only time she came to common room was that very Saturday, which she came with a small girl.
“I have something to say here. I want us to trash this issue. The truth of the matter we had sex with Zuwaira (not her real name). Yes, yes I am saying this,” Mr Faruk confessed.

Hoodlums Kill, Bury Taxify Driver Alive In Rivers State
The Rivers state police command has arrested three suspected hoodlums for allegedly killing a taxi driver and burying him inside a bush in Khana local government area of Rivers state. It was gathered that the hoodlums lured the taxi driver by boarding his vehicle, before taking him into the bush where they killed him and carted away with his vehicle.
Their evil act came to light when men of the anti-cultism unit of the Rivers State Police Command, on a routine patrol around the East-West road accosted and arrested a van towing a Toyota Corolla to a supposed selling point which led to the arrest of the alleged three killers of the taxi driver reportedly missing since September last year.

9th National Assembly: APC Will Not Share Power With PDP, Says Oshiomhole
The national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, has vowed that the party will not allow a non-member of its caucus in the National Assembly to occupy any position meant for the party.
He said the ruling party will ensure that all the leadership positions in the National Assembly including chairmen of committees, except the ones that are statutorily reserved for the opposition, are occupied by APC members.
Oshiomhole who spoke on Monday at an interactive session with newly elected members in the House of Representatives at the Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja said the APC was aware of the clandestine meetings already being held by the PDP to plot how to infiltrate APC ranks for pecuniary gains.
He said the APC national leadership is determined to checkmate any such attempt by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to apply the tactics it used in 2015 to pick up plum positions in the National Assembly.
Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Student Sentenced To Death For Killing Girlfriend (Photos)
An Ondo State High Court sitting in Akure has sentenced one Chukwudi Onweniwe to death by hanging for killing his girlfriend, Nifemi Adeyeoye.
The convict was arrested by the men of the Ondo State Police Command after killing the deceased, who was a student of the Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, in February 2017 at Ogbese in the Akure North Local Government Area of the state.
Before the killing, Onweniwe was said to have abducted the deceased and taken her to a farm near the community, where he raped her, after which he strangled her to death.
When the trial began in May 2017, the convict was arraigned before the court on four counts of action endangering life, kidnapping, rape and murder.

Two Lagos Nurses Arrested For Selling Couple's Baby
The Lagos State Police Command has arrested two nurses working at Trinity Clinic, Meiran, Lagos, for allegedly selling a woman’s baby and deceiving her that she had a stillbirth.
According to police report, the mother of the baby had gone to a hospital in Meiran to deliver her child. However, after delivery, the nurses, Marbel Onochel and Dorcas Omitogun, told her that her baby had died and that they had buried the child to save the family of the trauma of carrying out the funeral of their baby.
When the family insisted they wanted to see the corpse of their baby, the nurses told them that the head of the baby was bad. Suspecting a foul play, the mother of the child reported the case to the police and the women were arrested. After much interrogation, they confessed to selling the baby for N350,000 to one Mrs. Helen Okoh, a resident of Ajah in Lagos who has since been arrested.

All of a Sudden a woman who claimed to be his wife, namely Azotani Toochukwu 'f' suddenly appeared into the house with her friend, one Ogochukwu Nwankwo 'F' and Locked her inside the bathroom for almost four hours and left.
