Since 1999 that I started following Nigerian politics, the quest for power has left more than 50% of our so-called leaders with blood on their hands, directly or indirectly. I ask myself again, to what end?

They say democracy and indeed leadership is "service to the people", how can we now come to the conclusion that truly, service requires taking a fellow servants life.

Just imagine, I want to serve, you want to serve too, I now have to remove you from the face of the earth, just because I want to "SERVE". Haba mana.

I keep saying this until we make political offices in Nigeria less attractive and less lucrative, blood will always flow.

The average Nigerian politician sees power as a tool for oppression, manipulation, enrichment etc, hence the tendency to seek for it for what he sees it as.

Haven't we wondered why we keep voting for these selfish and dark minds for true national growth, yet, the reverse is the case. This horrible mentality of power at all cost has to be erased and a new, positive mindset embraced if not, the violence and bloodshed witnessed this last election will be like a romantic movie compared to 2023.
