15 Things You Need To Stop Doing To Your Skin

1. Tattooing on permanent makeup

Getting makeup tattooed is a risk because you can't hide and if you don't like the look every day, you're stuck. It's also likely to fade, which defeats the point.

2. Using Latisse on your lashes

It's been reported that the lash-growing serum can affect your eye color! Just invest in a couple pairs of falsies and watch a Youtube tutorial.

3. Using face masks too often

This causes your skin to dry out which can lead to over moisturizing.

4. Sleeping in your makeup

This clogs your pores and can cause acne.

5. Overplucking your eyebrows

If you don't know what you're doing, put the tweezers down and go see a professional. Plucking too much can cause permanent damage to your eyebrows.

6. Using old mascara

Mascara tubes are a breeding ground for bacteria. Toss it and buy another every 2-3 months.

7. Smoking

Smoking does plenty of damage to your insides, but also really effects your face. It'll age your prematurely and cause deep wrinkles.

8. Not cleaning your makeup brushes and sponges

Using your makeup brushes everyday cakes them with makeup and bacteria. Anything that goes on your face, especially near your eyes, should be clean to avoid infection.

9. Using the wrong shade of foundation

First of all, everyone can tell that the color you're wearing isn't right. Do your makeup in natural light so you can see it too. You'll end up caking on a lot more of the wrong color and clogging your pores.

10. Wearing too much bronzer

Piling on bronzer will clog your pores and doesn't look great.

11. Bleaching your brows

Eyebrows really do frame your face and completely change the shape when they're gone.

12. Not wearing sunscreen in the winter

You're not safe from sun damage just because it's cold outside. The sun still shines on cloudy days and can damage your skin at all times. Even a moisturizer with a low amount of SPF will help you.

13. Over and underexfoliating

Under exfoliating keeps your skin clogged, but exfoliating too much WILL dry out your skin.

14. Getting fillers

Getting too many fillers can drastically dramatize the proportions of your face.

15. Picking at and popping pimples

This can cause permanent scarring.
